Sec­ond EVA Com­plet­ed to Replace Pump on ISS

Expe­di­tion 24 Flight Engi­neers Doug Whee­lock and Tra­cy Cald­well Dyson com­plet­ed the sec­ond space­walk to replace a failed ammo­nia pump mod­ule on the Inter­na­tion­al Space Sta­tion. The duo suc­cess­ful­ly detached and removed the failed unit from the sta­tion’s cool­ing sys­tem. The two space­walk­ers will put the new pump in place and con­nect it to the loop’s flu­id lines dur­ing a third EVA sched­uled for this Monday.
