Aboard the Inter­na­tion­al Space Sta­tion, exter­nal and crew-tend­ed cam­eras cap­tured new views of Hur­ri­cane Katia as it sped north over the Atlantic west of Bermu­da at 10:10 a.m. EDT on Sept. 8, 2011, pack­ing winds of 90 miles an hour and, an hour-and-a-half lat­er, views of the lin­ger­ing wild­fires in cen­tral Texas from a van­tage point 230 miles above the Earth.
