First i thought this was an ugly piece of shit (and thats coming from someone whos still using the orignal SGS1) but its grown on me somehow, its still doesnt look “nice” but the software is just awesome, and Samsung are always good at optimsing phones. the softwares won me over…
A bit weird about the multitasking 😐
I don’t believe the phone is ugly. There is very little you can do to make a phone look different when 90% of its face is screen. Samsung could’ve pulled an apple and gave exactly same design as GSII or Note, but didn’t. Pity they held back on screen and materials used, but it might be in their design philosophy to do so, who knows… Now that’s over, let’s talk Galaxy Note 2… Heh heh heh!
Yes a 2100 mAh removable battery…This phone uses a micro sim 🙂
Wow very good for Samsung. Best Galaxy phone yet.
they should have made something like the T‑Mobile version of GS2
One X is The Best
One X
well i think we can forget iphone 5 for this year lol
Super fast!
I can’t wait to see what would stock ICS feels like when it’s on this device!
why not 720p
that thing is a quad core! no wonder it can play videos outside xD
When is ics coming for s2 in india??
speak!!
if its called iphone 5
Fuck the design! gonna buy this phone for their impressive hardware!
@xdeiri poly might be durable, but it is not the material worthy of a flagship phone. The consumer has brought this to Samsung’s attention through comment sections like this one, bit they chosee not to follow the suggestions. I’ve always bought flagship phones so my demands are going to be higher than many posted. I just feels that Samsung are always holding back, never giving their best. I’m just looking forward to Galaxy Note II to see how they look to improve on a great device.
@xdeiri We agree on them holding back, but we disagree on what is “best available”. Flagship phones should be made of flagship materials; metals, more than ceramics and plastics in my opinion. They took risks in providing new software, where they didn’t need to. They started to win when the Galaxy SII was the most powerful, light, big screen with reasonable battery. The design was also well received. The S3 does not tick all the same boxes.
@xdeiri Look at the Galaxy Note. The only device like it currently available. That was a risk. They could’ve put a poor resolution screen, they didn’t. They could’ve gave it the same clock speed as the SII, they didn’t. They could’ve stuck an SII battery in, they didn’t. So they fan innovate and take risks, they just chose not to hence my lack of interest in S3. But as most people don’t have 8–10 years of buying smartphones, I won’t expect most to understand. I’ll wait for the next big thing.
Best phone
Doesn’t look as good as htc one x
It’s the best phone currently available
No, It is not
Looks ugly and lags a bit
who will prefer plastic?== i am an Asian and most of my family and friends around using iphone.. There is no Build Quality at all when you use a plastic…very bad feeling when hands on..
Better in term of? Durability? Few day ago just tried S3 in IT centre, this S3 still gave the same plastic feel… and ya, Polycarbonate is a versatile, tough plastic, but its still plastic~get your facts right~
now thats your opinion~Its not how i feel, but how a potential customer feel, how lots of my friends feel, how designers feel. Its about build quality, using plastic definitely made the product feel cheap~
@aman4simple I don’t know why I just got a email saying you responded to my comment on the S3, as it was over a month ago, and granted was only based on the limited info given. FYI, I own a Galaxy Note, have done since November.. Contact free. I’ve owned smartphones before the term became fashionable for the last 10 years. So buddy boy, go find a bridge to troll under before your parents call you in for bedtime. (oh yeah, I ordered an S3 in blue for my father, should be arriving this week)
@aman4simple The S3 in blue arrived as stated in my last post. Interesting feel and look, my only concern is the durability, so some of my original views still apply 2 months after this video was posted. Since then, we have been given knowledge of the Galaxy Note II, I can’t wait to see what they do with it, but I’m not holding my breath for more premium materials… Internally it should be amazing. We’ll see in 2–3 months time, based on the info given by GsmArena.
Yeah, I just wanted to troll but no one replied back..!
classic example of not jumping on conclusions some ppl just want to post a message just for the sake of it renasense pay them no attention, like a little girl craving daddy’s attention lol.
Using Quad Core yet lagging as hell. The point is? Dun tell me its not lagging badly, most of the andriod phone lagging as more thing installed, i owned a S2 before. Its the problem of integration of hardware and software as mentioned by Google engineer themselves as unsolvable. Even google engineer admit that. QuadCore so? Dun get tricked by numbers and spec~
Should I get this or the BlackBerry? I feel much better using a keyboard to type…
ok
