Expe­di­tion 31 Flight Engi­neers Don Pet­tit and Joe Aca­ba of NASA and Andre Kuipers of the Euro­pean Space Agency dis­cussed life and research aboard the Inter­na­tion­al Space Sta­tion dur­ing a pair of in-flight inter­views June 28 with Eric Berg­er, sci­ence cor­re­spon­dent for the Hous­ton Chron­i­cle, and Nation­al Pub­lic Radio’s “Sci­ence Fri­day” pro­gram. Pet­tit and Kuipers are sched­uled to land in their Soyuz space­craft on July 1 after 6 1/2 months in orbit. Aca­ba will remain aboard the sta­tion until mid-September.
