Next Space Sta­tion Crew Under­goes Final Training

Expe­di­tion 33/34 Soyuz Com­man­der Oleg Novit­skiy and Flight Engi­neer Evge­ny Tarelkin of the Russ­ian Fedearl Space Agency and NASA Flight Engi­neer Kevin Ford con­duct­ed qual­i­fi­ca­tion train­ing at the Gagarin Cos­mo­naut Train­ing Cen­ter in Star City, Rus­sia, Sept. 20 and 21 in advance of their final approval for launch to the Inter­na­tion­al Space Sta­tion. Novit­skiy, Ford and Tarelkin are sched­uled to fly to the launch site at the Baikonur Cos­mod­rome in Kaza­khstan Oct. 2 to pre­pare for their Oct. 15 liftoff in the Soyuz TMA-06M space­craft. Also fea­tured in the footage are back­up crew mem­bers Pavel Vino­gradov, Alexan­der Mis­urkin and NASA’s Chris Cassidy.
