Beautifully shot. Well done.
This really is such a powerful video and I don’t even know the underlying message. Maybe just that science is cool.
well done.
I enjoy being a New Mexican
3:25, too much awesomeness
How can people dislike this Video?
Awesome documentary. Every time a new video from The Verge arrives on my Subscription box I want to watch it because I know it’s a profesional work.
Thanks The Verge for making an awesome site, and creating awesome content.
What a awesome video. Verge simply incredible
I’m not going to lie, that last monologue. Brought a tear to my eye.
Imagine a Verge TV full of this stuff.
Less smartphones, more dreams.
Strangely coincidental that you posted this documentary. I just watched a video illustrating the total number of times that the world has detonated a nuclear weapon and I was comically astounded by just how many times we have done this. For those that don’t know, the human race has detonated more than 2,000 nuclear bombs since the first shown here. The USA is responsible for more than half that total number. I am NOT anti-American at all, but I am also not proud of this statistic. I am relieved
Love the camerawork.
I think this might be broken… it seems about (at leas) 50 minutes too short.
Very inspired, excellent video!
Just incredible, inspirational work by Sam Thonis and Pablo Korona. Proud of you both!
love science, hate war
Wait , why isnt this documentary longer. I WANT MORE. Great Job guys 😀

This was a great watch. With the conflict in Israel happening and potentially the threat of a Nuclear war in that region, it was eye opening to see some coverage of the first Nuclear device detonated on earth. No man should posses such power. I can only hope for humanities sake that another will never be detonated again.
bet he got laid after that
Great editing, the selection of quotes, the time lapse photography!
This was brilliant.
I live about 2 hours away from here. I love to watch videos about the history of this place.
Great work
The time flew by when I was watching this. Amazing.
Kahbewm!
