Happy new year everyone, we had a great year, we landed curiosity and SpaceX docked there capsule to the ISS. On the other note Astronaut Neil Armstrong( commander of Apollo 11 )the first man on the moon has passed away on August 25 2012 at 82 years of age. RIP Neil Armstrong
This is like the polar opposite of the seven minutes of terror video.… garbage production that highlights the waste in government bureaucracy. NASA should operate like SpaceX, as a private company beholden to shareholders. Let the military develop it’s own research and development arm, and dedicate NASA to single-purpose missions that focus entirely on science to benefit mankind. Dual purpose missions just slow down the science.
I’ve kept watching for this channel from last year. I having been most surprised was NASA is advancing projects in cooperation with nations like Russia, Japan, European countries. Probably I think it obtains the best result.
The Earth travels .5 centimeters closer to the sun every second which means we are 97.977 miles closer to the sun from last year. Each year that number gets bigger so this year it takes 584,020,080.03 miles to orbit the sun. Ok, so if there are 8765.81 hours in a year then that means we have .011 hours (roughly 5 minutes) less every year. Meh. NOW, since the Earth was formed 4,600,000,000 years ago that means we are really 5771 years in the past… WELCOME TO 3759 B.C.
HAPPY NEW YEAR! Thankyou for all your hard work! And the comedy too; Johnson Style was the BEST parody of the Gangham Style of them all (and I saw them all)!!! I was biting my nails with the Curiosity landing…Our local University invited us for an all-nighter, sponsored by NASA. (love the 3D glasses and photos, and have the NASA sticker on my car!) But, ladies and gentlemen, Curiosity? Really? I would think that a more human or animal name would give that giant lab more …love. LOL
