Chrome OS: Explained!
The Chromebook Pixel may be expensive, and we can hate on Google all we want for that. But the Pixel is the ONLY reason we’re about to start seeing $500-$700 affordable retina-display Chromebooks later this year. Thanks, Google!

this laptop is useless unless you have WiFi.. I can’t use this laptop on a road trip or airplane. If it could download anything like movies or something like that it’d be amazing
Laptops with touch screen… no, just no!
We need more high end chrome books!
Stop the video on 1:41
Toshiba is a great quality Chromebook, and around the same price-point as the more cheaply constructed ones. I think the Chromebook serves a perfect purpose. When I want to get work done, I need a smooth, fast, reliable workhorse with 0 distractions. When I’m using a Chromebook, I can stay focused and get right to work, also, as said in this video, great for quick content consumption. I own hardware with every single mainstream os out there (modern windows, mac, homemade linux, and Chrome machines) and it has its purpose, I think making it too fancy takes away from it being a workhorse, and will make it become something you don’t want to carry around in certain situation because you’re worried you’ll scuff up your “pretty, shiny” new device. Chromebooks can be “pretty” looking, but durable. Adding aluminum to the mix, eh.
Google going the apple route.
£999 gg google
chromebooks have sold more than macs this year
3 years later and no devs embraced the chromebook as much, it’s not talked about and are just something to use with low budgets on uni students… Google and experimentation, in the end it’s what still keeps me going for their products!
This is 400 dollars now but won’t get android apps is this worth it or what else would be better at 400?
Lame
Yep

These things are going for $400 still worth it?
fetus marques
and now we’ve got the Samsung Chromebook Plus/Pro sporting a 3:2 QHD display with an all aluminum build, coming with the Google Play Store preinstalled and using an ARM Processor OR an Intel m3. I think it worked out. Plus the prices are $450/$550 for the machines.
“…At $1300 base price, it seems a little bit high. Very high actually. But when you think about it, it still seems very high…”. 😀
woah that intro is so nostalgic
I came back to this video to see if your predictions live up to todays standards with the pixel book2 aaaaaaand still not much developer support
