Why does this video has to have a polit­i­cal debate, when TheV­erge made this video to show how the research tech­nol­o­gy hap­pen in Palestine.

Because the under­ly­ing rea­sons for this pre­car­i­ous sit­u­a­tion are obvi­ous­ly relat­ed with pol­i­tics and the war.

Gee whiz if this was­n’t pol­i­tics then let’s do a video on depres­sion in the native Indi­an pop­u­la­tion in the USA or how’s about one on the Afro Amer­i­can pop­u­la­tion in Quuens N.Y. Reli­gion is actu­al­ly what keeps peo­ple from jump­ing off a cliff.

I feel this video is more about build­ing high­er edu­ca­tion insti­tu­tions than it is treat­ing depression.

To be fair, with­out research facil­i­ties and an insti­tu­tion­al infra­struc­ture, there real­ly isn’t any “treat­ing peo­ple”. Clin­ics don’t just pop up from the ground out of nowhere.

This neu­ro­science project will like­ly fall down the drain soon­er or lat­er. Pales­tini­ans, like the rest of their Arab coun­ter­parts, are stuck with cor­rup­tion, pover­ty, and polit­i­cal issues. Any fund­ing that goes to that ini­tia­tive will like­ly end up in their politi­cians’ hands rather than in what­ev­er else they try to achieve.

Also, Al Quds is a uni­ver­si­ty that com­bines reli­gion and sci­ence togeth­er in order to teach. Such a uni­ver­si­ty has NO CHANCE to suc­ceed in the real world

Good luck with the endeav­or. I am not sure if the Pales­tin­ian soci­ety is ready for such though. I opened an Amer­i­can Heart Asso­ci­a­tion CPR train­ing cen­ter due to the fact that sim­ple CPR is a rel­a­tive unknown pro­ce­dure there. The sad thing is that peo­ple do not care to know or even learn sim­ple ways to improve soci­ety, why would they accept such advanced ideas. The Pales­tini­ans as a soci­ety are many, many years behind most every nation con­cern­ing just basic health care.
