An Olympic Moment in Space
[vid_tags]
Russian Cosmonauts Oleg Kotov and Sergey Ryazanskiy conducted a spacewalk outside the International Space Station Nov. 9, installing and replacing experiments and hardware and displaying the Olympic torch that will light the Olympic flame in Sochi, Russia, on Feb. 7, 2014, during the opening ceremonies of the Winter Olympics. The torch was delivered to the station Nov. 7 by three new residents of the station and will return to Earth Nov. 11 with three departing crew members to resume its role in the Olympic torch relay that began in Olympia, Greece, last month.

This is pretty cool PR stunt or whatever, I think. People shouldn’t always be so pessimistic about things. And anyways, this spacewalk did have real objectives as well, if you read the description.
so cool
Why should I care if Trololova Kolofakova
shared this with her granny
via Google plus ???
Awesome!
This torch looks like a hoover… XD

Boring material!
They could ignite main engines on the Soyuz launch using olympic torch…
very cool
I wish I could be in space 🙁
why no fire?
it went to space, but never went to Melbourne Australia, apparently the race that stops the nation (Melbourne cup) doesn’t.

Now, they are going to sell this torch. A good way to make money.
VERY NICE, I WANT KNOW IF I AM ABLE TO GO SPACE,
Soo cool!
Lunar high jump.
hey NASA I was wondering how that WarpDrive is working out and I have an idea in january 2014 send man mission to mars good luck on the warp drive
it would be better if they have robots like Asimo robots in space, but more intelligent and with alluminum foil protective layers, I like that better because they would be cheaper to have in space and will not cost any money, also they do not have to come back they can stay there for years and do all duties very well.
They should have ignited it
Gold medal worthy stuff!
I thought those were s’pposed to stay lit during the relay..unless NASA used some kind of slow burning space vacuum tolerant fuel that costs $1,000,000 an ounce.
what is this step that flying behind her #4:26 ????
Luciferian
Man those suits look so stiff, like the michelin man, you could barely move. with all that that metal hardware im amazed they don’t tear a hole in it and deflate.
