Nexus 5 — 6 Reasons to Buy and 5 Reasons to Pass

I have the Nexus 4 right now, it’s March and I’m think­ing on get­ting the Nexus 5..should I get it or wait til the N6?

Just because it’s stock android does­n’t mean you have to miss out. I root­ed my N5, installed Grav­i­ty­Box for all the tweaks you could want, also installed XPosed­Frame­work with XHaloFloat­ing­Win­dows and Float­ing Notifications

You pay £299/$500 for some­thing that is bet­ter than stuff you pay £600/$1000 for. Why would­n’t you buy this?

should i stick with my s2x (not equinos, snap­drag­on ver­sion) or get a 16gb moto g?

That last point should­n’t real­ly count, because the Nexus 5 is very sim­ple to root and you can install what­ev­er ROM you want.

Is this still a good phone to get? I was orig­i­nal­ly going to get it when my upgrade came around ear­li­er this year, but decid­ed to go with the LG G2 instead. I’m think­ing about switch­ing to the Nexus 5 soon, because I have used Nexus devices before (I’m on the Nexus 7 tablet right actu­al­ly, lol) and I enjoy the stock Android expe­ri­ence. Is this still a good phone to switch to, or should I wait for the next Nexus (if they do release one)?

Looks of the phone: looks rly good and i don’t both­er if i will stand out or not
Bat­tery: 1 day does fine for me 😀
Audio: Most­ly have my ear­phones, and i have x‑Mini 
Cam­era: if u rly care about cam­era go ahead and spend 349$ on some canyon
Soft­ware: Pure android? i love it, there is all­ways an option to root it :$

@Jussi / Zas­sii Sony xpe­ria Z1 is shit­ty, maybe it’s good on paper but it will start to bug and freeze after 1 month of use, just not well made by sony

@RawSound YT Well, Android and Ios is very dif­fer­ent, but the stock android on Nexus 5 is very sim­ple like Ios and you will nev­er get prob­lem or bugs with a smart­phone well sup­port­ed like the nexus 5. Def­i­nite­ly upgrade, you will be very, very sat­is­fied by the per­fect screen size and the amaz­ing full HD screen.

Should I get the Nexus 5 Android Author­i­ty?
The phone I have now is the Alca­tel One Touch Evolve 2013- And… it’s just plain ter­ri­ble, you don’t even know. The Alca­tel is my first phone and I’ve had it since Octo­ber or Sep­tem­ber in 2013. (Not gonna go in detail)

Well what I’m look­ing for in a phone is (The main things):
-Good Bat­tery life
-Good cam­era
-Good speed
-And STAYS with the speed with the amount of time you keep the phone and the with the amount of pho­tos and apps.
-No lag on apps

Some of these were on the rea­sons NOT to buy it, but I’m a lit­tle con­fused on some because since the Alca­tel One Touch Evolve is a ter­ri­ble phone, all this stuff will prob­a­bly seem amaz­ing. My bat­tery life on the alca­tel goes from 100% at around 6am- 0 or 3% at 4pm… And I don’t even have to be on it, and when I am… it’s in pass­ing time dur­ing school just to see if I get any texts… that’s it.

And if I’m not in school, like now, in only 4 hours on it on Face­book or some­thing-it’s almost dead. It’s also very slow. And the cam­era isn’t good so I guess any phone would be an upgrade (smart­phone-wise) and I was won­der­ing what phone would be best, whether it is this one, Nexus 5, or anoth­er one you could think of?
