At Nokia’s last major press conference as an independent company, Stephen Elop took the stage to announce a shocker: the Nokia X, an Android-powered cellphone for the developing world. It’s a radical reinvention of Android, it’s colorful as can be, and it’s all here in just over four minutes.

I like how Nokia knew they couldn’t realse a good windows nokia look phone to run android. They gave us a look a like but still not the real build quality of a actual windows phone. Nokia could just go with android but considering Microsoft saved the developing nokia from bankruptcy if they switched to android they would be sued to the ground.

Those prices!
Nokia 220… Welcome to 2002!
This phone for this price + cyanogenmod = awesome!
Can we connect to Gmail still on the Nokia XL? Not converting to outlook.com.
Wow… talk about a serious race to the bottom.… 109 Euros for the NOKIA XL (their highest tier phone) equates to roughly $149 USD.
Puede que me compré uno cuando sea soportado por Cyanogenmod.
Those android prices will win for Nokia. It’s a matter of how long will it be till they’re available in the ‘developed’ world?
I only wonder how much ass this bozo had to lick to get that job!
To be honest, among all these devices, i’m most interested in the 220.
It’s so cheap, I might just buy it just to fuck around with it.
Nice Job Nokia
smile icon at 3:24 is kind of creepy
what is Q2?
I threw up in my mouth a little.
Just gonna buy it for fun, even though i already have a winphone, this way i can start android development learning
I like ! !
oh my god. that UI is a mess!!
Android plus Windows apps?! Wowza!!
So I guess Nokia decided to pee in their pants for warmth and success.. With Android… LoL
YAAAYYY FINLAND!
Watching this in 2020. I still wonder what things would be like if Nokia had implemented pure Android on the Nokia X.
