Wow Samsung hasn’t given up on the smart watch thing yet? They’re better off just waiting for Apple to make one and copy it from there.
They should of made the Gear 2’s design similar to the Gear Fit. The Fit looks better because of the curved screen.
these watches are just like advanced beepers from the 90’s
knew it would be worth it to wait, they need to focus on bigger updates rather than frequent updates though thats for sure, but Samsung is boss despite
Ok even thou the s5 was a joke, the gear fit is pretty cool. But samsung phones only so gtfo
Forgot to mention the ir blaster
Is the screen Gorilla Glass?
Too bad its locked to Galaxy devices.
i might get one when I get back home.
I like the fit
The fit really looks like something I want to wear. Hope the pricing isn’t too high.
I like gear fit design / what is battery life? Thanks
Lol, monitor heart rate in real time, what a useless surprise. Oh no, my heart beats so fast, I mustn’t reply sms or make a call.
Ok, everyone needs to stop trashing this device with blanket statements. There are pros and cons. The display is curved and very sexy…that’s clearly a plus, and the interface looks pretty crisp and concise, which is a good thing. The drawbacks: there should be an unnoticeable black bezel (the chrome looks tacky), the display should be slightly larger vertically (by 1/2″, maybe a little more), and although it’s only a software mod, they critically need to add the ability to switch to portrait mode.
Am I the only one to notice how terrible the ergonomics of the Gear Fit are? You’re going to be viewing that at an angle by craning your neck — causing neck problems. If the screen were to go on the inside of the wrist then that might be better but that’s clearly not how it’s designed to be used. Samsung rushed this out to market so quickly they didn’t even stop to think about ergonomics 101!
Cons: NOT Android (though tizen is the copy of android) and no compatible with everything.
What adventage does tizen have over Android?
wow i’m digging that gear 2!
i like rolex
Wear it inwards, problem solved
I see a trend of hate for Samsung, no idea where its coming from, I guess its the danger it poses to Apple and its glory, but other than that, I have had Samsung phone for the past 3 years, and… I have actually enjoyed my experience. I don’t see anything wrong with the Gear this year, although I hated the clunky original, I might pick up the Gear 2, better than anything on the market anyway. Apple will just make one and everyone will flip as they usually do, for no reason, just because they want the next thing Apple makes. I have an MBA, nothing against Apple, but their phones are just middle of the road, and yes, I did own an iPhone at one time, I liked the iPhone 5s, I payed a friend to get me one from the US, since it was so expensive here in Romania (1200EUR or 1600$ at launch), I switched to the Note 3 about a month later, both good, but I feel better with the flexibility and freedom of Samsung phones. I dislike the S5 BTW, I hope they make the rumored premium F series, if not, the Note 4 will be more than enough.
I own the current gear, these ones definitely feel like upgrades. I’m thinking about getting the neo, as I feel weird having a camera on my wrist all the time. Definitely neat devices, sadly no more porting Android Apps on them now I guess. 🙁
The Gear Fit looks pretty cool!
I’m looking for the ad
