was think­ing about tak­ing off the clip and mount­ing in on the back of my phone, would the release but­ton still work mount­ed on a flat surface?

Its a cool idea, cool knife func­tion for emer­gen­cies and self defence, I would only use it to car­ry a hand­ful of bills. Not very use­ful for car­ry­ing cards, as cards are big­ger size and reviews say its dif­fi­cult to draw the knife if you have more cards in it
