Amazon is touting the Fire Phone as an alternative smartphone experience. Instead of focusing on specs, Amazon is highlighting integration with its cloud services and massive buying potential, but can it live up to its pedigree?

Which songs are used during the video?
The last sentence drove it home. Every item is a photo away from free two-day shipping.
Features are nice but the Amazon UI and no playstore are not cool
So you want me to find products that I have right in front of my face and buy them online?
Can i talk on it?
fuck the iVerge !
the phone Chris has been talking about for years
At some angles, it looks a lot like an iPhone on the front.
consumption optimized no more physical limits of time market goes up. amazon covering there p e ratio.
Buying a phone that gets you to buy things in Amazon while buying things in a store? Buyception
the HTC One does not have a Snapdragon 800, it has an 801…
Whoa! No Google Play Store? What kind of madness is this?
Thank you Amazon for showing that specs run is not the future.
HTC One M8 has snapdragon 801 processor..not 800…
I want to look at my phone. I do not want my phone looking at me as a part of a system process for the UI. Also 4 front facing cameras for tracking. Whats the battery life going to be like in real life. Its an interesting phone but one built solely to make buy only buy Amazon. I’ll keep my HTC M7.
love the phone but us only is goint to kill it
Uhm, which HTC One has the Snapdragon 800 processor?
Four front facing cameras?
Lol, the derps that think NSA cares about their boring unimportant life are going to grab their signs and tinfoil caps and march about this.
Music is overbearing.
This is going to help me buy more shit. Can’t wait!
Firefly thing looks interesting… Now if someone could make a standalone app, maybe with Spotify, Goodreads, Netflix and IMDb “integration” that would be AMAZING. Like Shazam, for EVERYTHING!
@LuisOropeza That’s a good thing. Instead of just ripping it, they added to it. That’s innovation.
Update! Have you considered — ZON DEAL STALKER (do a search on google)? Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my BF saved tons of cash with it. They used that little yellow box, that is located on the website, to find a 90% discount on a diamond ring from Amazon. You may be able to find an incredible discount on the Amazon Fire Phone and accessories at a amazing price using this tool.
Looking to a Dynamic perspective display ? headache in 2,1…
Interesting counter but without core apps I use everyday (aka Gmail) I can’t see myself transitioning. They’re putting themselves in a bit of a tough spot app-wise. They’re need to either hammer out deals or create their own alternatives (and get people to migrate) in order to move devices.
It will fail, there’s not enough of a difference. People buy stuff on amazon from other phones just fine.
More innovative than Apple, that’s for sure.
Epitome of capitalism?
is it usable while in a roller coaster?
I have to say, I’m not sold on Fire camera yet, I’m gonna have to play with it
