I use the regular commuter on mine without the included screen protector. Love it just the right amount of protection but still pretty thin.
working at a phone store, i play with a lot of otter boxes. I think they are terrible build quality. the accuracy of the the cutouts and quality of the materials aren’t worth what they cost. stuff like incipio or uag or something is much better and cheaper. I always just get the manufacturer brand case at discount or amazon or something.
Could you maybe do something like this for the htc one m8?

Also, how come no one isn’t talking about Trident. They protect just as well the Otterbox and at half the price.

Laughed my ass of in the US. You see a lot of people whose most extreme daily activity is walking 30 meters from the parking lot to some store with a case that makes your thin phone 3 times bigger and puts a shitty piece of plastic in front of your screen. You don’t need a otterbox if the phone can only fall 1 meter down. Here in Europe I know NOBODY with a case even half as think as most otterboxes.
Love otterbox cases but the defender case on my s5 blocks the fingerprint scanner and causes some trouble with heartrate monitor >.<
The commuter wallet covers the speaker on the back with credit card holder. How does that effect the sound quality of the phone?

Do cases like these cause the phone to heat up faster in times of heavy use? I’d assume the thick rubber/plastic shells would act as an insulator.

Please don’t judge me but I have an otterbox defender case for my tab S 10.5 which is an LTE device that’s also my cellphone so I use it daily going to school and going out. I love the case, still thin and fits perfectly, the grip and the design is great I’d get no other case but the otterbox since the tab s is really thin and if you drop it you’re screwed.
which one should I pick commuter or symmetry (I can not see a big difference between them)

You can charge your Samsung Galaxy S 5 in the OtterBox preserver case if you look at the tool provided with the case there is an extra little hinge on the tool that open that you can use to pry open the little charging port plug on phone it self hope that helps you all.

You’re supposed to use the included tool to open the flap on the S5 itself when using the Preserver.

it may be 2016 and the S7 is about to be released, but I just bought a new S5 yesterday and everything is better about this phone than my Samsung Galaxy SIII mini.
I just got a new defender for my S5 worked for 20 minutes and gave up i get all the snaps to snap except 2 they will not snap … should I take it back ?

Where the hell do I find the Preserver? I am going from the Galaxy S3 with an Otterbox Armour I have had for 4 years to the S5. I already ordered the Defender for $17 through Walmart. I love my Armour case.
