With the abil­li­ty to join and expand a plat­form cou­pled with  3D, and 4D print­ing types and exzot­ic meta­ma­te­ri­als in fil­la­ment.  Great test­bed for ideas and struc­tur­al exam­i­na­tion of space bore indus­tries.  What would it take to har­vest “rocks” in space.  Expel left over non viable in direc­tion need­ed for veloc­i­ty.  Keep high risk cap­sules sealed and sep­a­rate from liv­ing, observ­ing labs.  Suit up if enter­ing test­bed.  La grange points “./?spelling/.?” are need­ed to be exploit­ed, yes true.  Con­grats to the teams!

So, are the pilots gonna be NASA per­son­nel or Boeing/SpaceX employ­ees? Are there gonna be astro­nauts specif­i­cal­ly cer­ti­fied to fly the Boeing/SpaceX craft, sim­i­lar to how air­plane pilots are cer­ti­fied to fly Boeing/Airbus/etc. planes?

SpaceX gets $2.6 bil­lion (for a more capa­ble design), Boe­ing gets $4.2 bil­lion (60% more!) — I bet the dif­fer­ence goes to their lobbyists.

Spae­ceX is way ahead of Boe­ing, NASA should’ve gave the big­ger por­tion to Space X who is way beyond in terms of tech­ni­cal achieve­ments in the short­est amount of time. Boe­ing’s space cap­sule is a joke and they still need to crash land basi­cal­ly which uses para­chutes in an out­dat­ed for­mat, noth­ing new… Let’s give the extra mon­ey to the com­pa­ny that is going to take us to Mars lets get SpaceX the finan­cial head room they deserve. Elon has a vision and he gets things done, with his involve­ment in Solar and bat­tery tech­nol­o­gy SpaceX will be a leader & the rest will be play­ing a catch-up.. 

Bet­ter start sav­ing mon­ey from now and expect I’ll be able to pay for my orbital flight before my life ends.

I think they should all get some mon­ey or at least that one com­pa­ny with the dream­chas­er space plane should start doing pri­vate spaceflights.

As soon as I heard ‘great­est nation on Earth does­n’t need any­body else’ I switched off.  How about we ALL work towards it.  I under­stand he refers chiefly to Rus­sia but still.  Great­est Nation on Earth is very patro­n­is­ing to oth­ers.  Before any­body com­plains yes I under­stand why he says this.

Is the SpaceX Drag­on V2 going to land ver­ti­cal­ly on land using the Super Dra­co engines? If so why does it show the clip of it land­ing in the water?

SpaceX cre­ates tries out new tech­nol­o­gy for their space­craft and has their own rock­et. Boe­ing goes for the same old space­craft. SpaceX gets 2.6 bil­lion dol­lars. Boe­ing gets 4.2 bil­lion dol­lars. SpaceX plans to col­o­nize Mars. Boe­ing so far has 5 seats in their small con­tained cap­sule. Huh. Well then.

Send­ing humans to space is a astronomical(pun) waste of mon­ey, robots do a great job. And for the haters, who launch­es the vehi­cles — yeah it’s robots.

when we look back at the col­o­niza­tion of mars it will be SpaceX.

Spacex can do it faster and cheap­er than Boe­ing ever could. Go SpaceX.
