Samsung Galaxy Note 4 review

Wow, it only took you 45 sec­ond to men­tion the iPhone. Kudos.

All these peo­ple com­plain­ing about how com­pli­cat­ed it is to use a Sam­sung. Oh please it’s a smart phone. And in my opin­ion, the smartest one yet. Learn­ing how to make it your own is the fun part. I wager that once I get it today, it’ll only take me one day to know its inner work­ings like the back of my hand. I like the feel­ing of nev­er run­ning out of options. If some­thing is too sim­ple, it’s bor­ing, like the iphone. Only thing I miss about my iphone is “infin­i­ty blade.” oth­er than that, the HTC one m7 has been an awe­some android phone. Now it’s time to upgrade! 😏 

I don’t get this “Android = hard iOS = easy crap”. Lets walk through basic con­sumer use of a Note 4. 1.Hold down pow­er but­ton a lit­tle, 2. sign into crap, 3. choose reg­u­lar or sim­ple mode, 4. Use the same basic lay­out you have seen on every touch screen phone since for­ev­er. Why is that hard? Bot­tom of the screen.… just like the iphone and every smart phone before it prac­ti­cal­ly, has phone, text, con­tacts, App draw­er, web, cam­era. If you don’t want to use a wid­get don’t use it. If you don’t want to fum­ble through set­tings… don’t click the set­tings but­ton. Noth­ing is mak­ing aver­age joe con­sumer click on any­thing they don’t want to click on. I hon­est­ly feel that the back but­ton on Android devices alone makes these devices eas­i­er to use than an iPhone. Hunt­ing around for which cor­ner apple and or the 3rd par­ty app devel­op­ers placed the back key on screen is annoy­ing and counter intu­itive as is hav­ing all of your apps all over your main screen that greets you every time you turn your phone on. Even if you don’t choose the easy mode on a Sam­sung device you can still rec­og­nize that bot­tom row of but­tons and press them to do basic stuff. I won­der if the prob­lem is that say­ing some­thing like “Apple does sim­ple best” or “Apple is the phone to get if you just want it easy” are the only argu­ments you can make when com­par­ing them to a fea­ture rich Android device. You can’t go toe to toe because iOS has con­sid­er­ably less toes.

Sim­ple tech for sim­ple peo­ple 🙂 I like com­plex­i­ty and the fact it pro­motes ana­lyt­i­cal think­ing. Hav­ing a phone with loads of menu win­dows makes it much more inter­est­ing and cus­tomis­able. I have Note 3 for over a year and it is the best phone I ever had! 

How stu­pid is the review­er. Water sounds. If he had tak­en the time to look the set­tings he would have eas­i­ly told you that sounds can be switched off. Begin­ning to think the Amer­i­can pub­lic must be sim­ple if they can’t work out how to get to settings.

Wtf… Over­all good review for Sam­sung, but your fuck­ing stu­pid as always apple fan­boy­in­ms brought the whole review down in the last minute. Stu­pid ass reviewer…

Is that what’s it’s about now. No fea­tures no things make a phone unique. It has to be stu­pid sim­ple. Real­ly?. I guess the icons of a phone or mes­sage isn’t sim­ple enough now a days. I phones blow. Rows of icons. Is that what makes a phone good. Wow stan­dards are real­ly low now a days

I know every review needs some­thig real­ly stu­pid to pick on but the water sounds. you can turn them off. The Iphone 6 plus is eas­i­er to fig­ure out because it has noth­ing to opti­mize the big screen. the iphone 6 plus is for peo­ple who just want atten­tion for hav­ing a big screen phone. the note 4 is for peo­ple who want to actu­al­ly use the big screen . 

Sur­prise. They com­pare it to the iPhone.

Wow the verge actu­al­ly men­tioned the dis­play being accu­rate? I’m shocked, plen­ty of oth­er review­ers still per­pet­u­ate the now lie that amoled is inac­cu­rate and over sat­u­rat­ed, of all the review­ers to get it right Verge is among them. Strange.
