can it bend?
Your videos are the best 🙂
I’m starting to have second thoughts on capitalism…
over priced. over hyped. nobody cares.
“World’s thinnest tablet”.. I guess 6.1mm is thinner than 6 then lol.
https://www.google.com/search?btnG=1&pws=0&q=how+thin+is+dell+venue+8&gws_rd=ssl
Why does the iPad need to be thinner?? So it can bend too? iPad mini needs to have the same capabilities as the iPad Air. People don’t want a smaller iPad so it can be slower and not look as good. They just want something more compact
Really, iOS 8.1 ?!, OS 10 this worlds chooses are very submissively .
But will it bend?
It’s road trip
Wow a comment section full of apple haters, who would’ve thought? Btw to all you people complaining about the verge making these videos for just apple presentations, their doing it because they get a lot of views and therefore money. You idiots are contributing to something you hate.
iVerge, I love you guys
5K is impressive but that price is just crazy.
Anything about editing!
Amazing.
3:57 apple recognizes the fans lol
Song?
No 6th gen iPod Touch? Was very much hoping for one, seeing as though the 5th gen is 2 years old now.
No more iPod?? 🙁
Do people really care about how thin their device is?
I used to come to The Verge for analysis, personalities (Josh/Paul/Nilay/Pierce/etc. and honest consumer advice. I just watched a commercial for Apple.
They all left Engadget, thisismynext was so promising but everything started going down in flames when Paul basically quit being on the site, Johanna went to ABC or something and recently Josh (The star of the show imo) leaves, Nilay goes to another site but stays all while Paul is doing god knows what!
HONESTLY I think that with the tech industry getting kind of saturated, new tablets/phones/tvs/etc. are just slightly better versions of the previous model. It’s getting boring to cover! Even on the podcasts they said it. I’m no fanboy but the iPhone and iPad opened up whole new product categories. 2007–2012 was packed with innovation but it’s gotten stale.
They’re young and talented so maybe they just want to do other things with their lives than review the PPI of a phone.
Solid cheerleading
I have to be honest and say this, Apple makes the best tablets. The iPad App store can vouch for that.
Anything else is your choice and you can go either way.
Unsubscribed Verge
Light Tablet = Easy Binding ..
It was amazing !
funny you really didn’t need to edit down the iPad Mini update
What app is that at 5:24 ? I could not understand this guy’s accent well.
What are the songs used in this video?
so the iPod got canceled or what? it’s been more than two years already :/
The point most people miss about Apple is that Apple is not really a
technology company; it is a marketing company that happens to sell
technology (very well, thank you very much). Yes, it does produce tech
products but if you look past the hype and their “revolutionary” products
(a shame when a perfectly good word is reduced to being meaningless by
being misapplied ad nauseum), and if you look at what their real bottom
line goal is, what you see is a wonderfully crafty marketing organization.
A marketing organization whose goal is to tempt you to use its technology
so that they can get you locked in for forever and a day into their
ecosystem that means they will be getting a cut out of whatever you
purchase while within it.
This is why they are so profitable. Steve Jobs may not have been anyone you
would have wanted as a friend – if you like nice people for friends – but
no one would ever accuse him of being a dummy! lol
He created an organization and a mystique for Apple that was built on
catering to image; knowing full well that if he could get kids hooked on
his products – the single most image conscious segment of human society –
and keep them hooked on Apple and even get them to define cool and Apple as
one in the same – little details like reality and wise buying decisions
would fall by the wayside. and like the Jesuits that say, “Give me a young
man as a boy and I will guarantee you his religion for life.” (or words to
that effect) Jobs knew that people keep habits.
Does Apple make a good product – of course. The problem is that the price
they exact in terms of what you must submit to, in my opinion, is no where
near commensurate, nor justifiable, for the return.
But, to each his own, if someone doesn’t want to look too deeply into the
why fors, the what nots, of their purchase and doesn’t care about the fact
that Apple will be the one dictating to you how and what you may do with
your device – then, go for it. but I will not be joining in the “fun
Be honest: how much does Apple pay u for this type of s..t? The Verge OR apple’s little bit..
What was that video editing app called?
I actually don’t like the system typography in yosemite. It looks a bit stretched.
No news about the MacBook Pro ?????
