Congratulations !
Congratulations NASA for this new adventure for a great future.
They should hire Jonathan Ive for the spacecraft design.
You guys are superhumans,i cant really imagine how to made the orion detailed by detailed
Just brilliant !
Text-book mission, really excellent performance.
Wass machen sie mit der Müll (All Müll)?:::
congratulation
at 12:00 i almost cried too <3. Thanks guys.
12:00 The passion these guys have for space exploration is amazing. He’s clearly getting choked up from the overwhelming sense of pride. We are finally on track to get human’s out of LEO. It’s about time.
1. Still-once-again looks like a roman-candle going up, lacking a SSME’s transparency;
2. The ocean will be littered with service-panels like used blades in a medicine-cabinet;
3. Computer resets multiple times…sounds amateurish again… ‘senile’ is the term for it,
4. and a horrid Hollywood meme of astronauts turning to bone jelly on the way to Mars;
5. “Spam in a can” is where this is going—again… ‘Nice’ that this first test went ‘well’…
6. (Too bad NASA couldn’t forward the Shuttle technologies but reverted to Saturn.)
***** Impressive, highly commendable accomplishment. Congratulations on your successful first flight of Orion aboard the Delta IV Heavy rocket. Your entire team rock’d it today. 😉
there was a minor connection problem that lasted maybe 1.5 secs. environment air pressure. for heat shield.
Kinda like mancheeriing. Waste money and time. Kill time Keep the B. S. going as you run out the clock. GOD SPEED.
William Gerstenmaier mentioned that he wanted to show the public more of what is going on behind the scenes. I think that would be fantastic! There is of course the weekly TW@N update, but I am hoping for something that is a lot more in depth, especially when it comes to the science behind it all. I would also like to see the data from today’s test published and i have two very good reasons for that. One; these records represent a great deal of taxpayer dollars, which i believe, is information the public is entitled to. And two; Having the public tinker with the data might produce some interesting information (for free).
So exciting and interesting.. Keep up the good work guys! This is what humanity should be spending money on.. Testing and pushing the limits into space exploration..
Congratulations all!
Why truck Orion across country? Can’t Nasa just put it on a cargo plane?
11:30 ..-> 45 sec
This is what it’s all about..
Darn it, got something in my eye.. ;.(
What is the planned fate for Orion 001? Will it be retrofitted for crewed missions or head straight to the Smithsonian after the testing is complete?
@ 37:10 did you just say water on mars and plan to molecularise it . wow !!! . thts why going to mars to colonise .
Soon no more piggy back rides from russia good job team go orion go nasa and go space x
That was great and all, but they need another Apollo 11-level event to get the American public back behind them. That may be difficult given their current budget constraints…
Hmm. After just 4 hours journey to space and back, nearly a month is required for transporting the capsule back home.

According to the insiders in the secret U.S Space Fleet our Anti-Gravity drive vehicle’s can make the trip to mars in 15 min why waste the money and time (2 years) for these vehicles to reach mars. Guess the Government wants another diversion and a reason to steal a few more billion from the tax payer. America Wake UP!!!
Congratulations to all the scientists, engineers, and persons who made this happen!
I am a bit confused, I thought NASA makes and launches the Delta IV rocket with Orion, but they said in here that ULA did the launch and that the second Orion launch will be an SLS launch, so why do they do this and what is the difference between these two launch teams? Is SLS a NASA launch and not ULA? Someone please clarify, thanks ^^
Good job

This was fantastic to watch EFT 1 was a great success. I’m so looking forward now to 2017/18 to EM 1 (exploration mission 1) the first unmanned flight of the full system. The SLS (SPACE LAUNCH SYSTEM) with the Orion and it’s ESA (European space agency) developed service module. They’ll fly it out to the moon, circumnavigate and orbit it and return.
This is why Christoper Nolan made Interstellar because like he said we use to be more into space flight and what’s out there and we need to get back into that.
My favourite quote from the movie and it’s trailer:
“We use to look up in the sky and wonder at our place in the stars,” intones our hero Cooper (McConaughey) in the ominous voiceover inInterstellar. “Now we look down and worry about our place in the dirt.” — Interstellar
How much more weight could the rocket have carried? Would all the hardware needed for a trip to Mars fit on one rocket, or would it have to be assembled in space?
Orion is unmanned spacecraft that shouldn’t have any problems, with a human factor how would that go ?
Where are the deep space earth photos posted?
11:53 this guy’s emotion here really shows the hard work and dedication brought to this program. I only hope it will be followed through to fruition!!! Job Well Done Gentlemen!!!!!! On to the next milestone!!!!!.……
Glad to space flight looking to the future. Now lets get men going.

with need to see more real video long video that video for the orion space was 2 short
It’s funny to think that 4 years later Elon strapped his Tesla onto the world’s most powerful rocket and shows us better views of the earth than NASA does. But other than that, this was a really significant test flight for the space agency.
Congratulations! What an exciting rocket flight!
For those of you who are interested in ion propulsion, you can see a low cost DIY ion thruster, lift its power supply against earth’s gravity, if you click on the purple channel icon on the left. The prototype is 100% verified to carry its power supply. There is also a link to the website, as well as 5 flight videos.
