#Samsung #MidTier #Phones #Google #Hangout #Updates #Android #Weekly
i guess samsung had those phones allready in their pipeline and ready for release and at this point it was to late to cancel the launch of them. maybe they will develop less phones models from now on.
Hangout has to become EASY TO USE. Take a look at skype: You download, install, make account and add people by specific user name. To use Hangouts You gatta know what the hell is Google Plus and how to use it to add people on hangouts you kind of gatta type in their name and look through a huge list of people with same names and stuff. It is very not clear how to add people and how to use Hangouts. I do like hangouts over skype lol but honestly it is hard for older people or even sort of older parents to use it. And there is no nice stand alone app for Windows (MUST BE A NORMAL APP and NOT chrome extension)
Samsung is a multiheaded hydra and predicting anything beyond its phones looking almost the same every year or even believing statements like ‘We’re going to produce less phones’ is folly.
Hangouts does multimedia communication and video communication. The subcategories of its two core functions seems to confuse this fact through a missing design simplicity and most of all only geeks know it does multimedia communication and video communication.
Solve that Google.
Hangouts needs advertising and hard selling. It has so many good features, its like skype mixed with whatsapp but your conversations can involve 10 people at once. It needs advertising thats why people eat up face time its what people were looking for most people dont know half of google stuff exists
implement google hangouts like the way apple implemented the imessage
hey jace answering your question you asked in the end of the of video i think hangouts will be a terrific sms app and instatnt messages if put a custom wallpaper on the sms screen.
google would have to buy apple.
Firstly, Samsung produce way too many phones for my liking. Their production is overwhelming and puts many buyers (including me) off from buying their phones. I think this is one of the reasons apple does well, they produce one or two phone a year. I wish they would drastically reduce their production as not only does it put buyers off their products it also stops people switching from Apple to Android.
I think hangouts is a great service. It needs a few improvements though, firstly I like the different coloured messages in Messenger and I like the way if the person your contacting doesn’t have a profile picture it shows the letter of their name. It also needs more advertising so people know about it. Finally Google need to stop making other messaging apps just stick to hangouts, Google need to slow down their products too which relates to Samsung. They need to slow down and make things simpler the average person doesn’t want loads of changes only geeks love new software
In hangouts it is always shown online even my friend is offline. It’s a serious bug they are not fixing. What ever you do without fixing this it is just a crap.
RIP samsung lol
Creepy as always..
It operates video calling friends over email address login n not phone numbers
If Google were to allow hangouts incorporation with third party SMS apps and regular phone calls, it would become as big if not bigger than imessage and face time.
You will need to obliterate the texting services. But the thing is, texting services still has the largest user base. Not many people, especially in the third world countries has access to the internet
U r looking like that bald man in game of thrones…
Android phones need to have smaller sizes. White girls who cant even imagine a big phone won’t even look at an android. (disclaimer white girls is being used in a comical way not racially)
they did it again…flooding the market with shitty phones that people WILL BUY because they simply don’t know the alternatives. Come on Samsung, you can do better
what Google Hangout need to to? like imessages on ios 8
You’re x‑mas tree SUCK.….….….….u can do better than that!!
Hmm interesting. I certainly would like a larger screen on my phone but without a large price tag. We’ll see how cheap these devices really are. But even assuming they are within my price range, I’d still be worried about trying Touchwiz.
I remember when I was using Hangouts all the time. I still enjoy using it when I have the time for it (hardly ever). I see a use for it when it comes to video messages. I don’t know about anyone else, but I don’t use voice mail anymore. I haven’t used it since 2000. Once text messaging picked up it was all I needed. I can see hangout being used as a videomail service where if the person you dial to hangout with isn’t available you can leave them a video to watch as a message. Sometimes a message won’t be enough, but a video will always be more than enough in any case.
That Galaxy Grand 3 reminds me alot of the LG Optimus Elite from Virgin Mobile/Sprint
Make Google Hangouts the default texting app for android phones and tablets. Start being more like a iMessage like apple has.
Do you have any news of the Galaxy S6
Hangouts still slow as crap with Dialer add-on/enabler?
I really wish that you were right when you said that phones would down size.
I think google should import cell phone based Text messaging(Not google voice) over Hangouts. This would really Improve it and be more usable exspecially in a work setting. I use mightytext right now for my SMS and i wish i didn’t have too.
When will the A5 be available in the USA???? I need it in Pink 📱💗
hangouts is almost pefect
it needs to be done in such a way that uses very little system resources when not being used for voice or video calls, so in other words it needs to be as light as the normal texting app initially.
send voice notes.
send video notes.
attach any file type (that either transfers automatically or gives the user a link to ur drive where the file has been added so only then can retrieve it).
allow both cameras to be used at once, like that samsung camera app, so show people what ur seeing as well as show them u.
Hey Jayce! Thanks for the video re. the Samsung mid-tier phones. Just one quick question though. What exactly IS a mid-tier phone?
samsung & sony are flooding the market with phones.. some others too… i mean bro… all we need is maybe 3 or so from each… a dirt cheap option, an ok option and a flagship… why all these others? they had the mega, the note, now the edge, then theres the obvious galaxy line S and A now. Same goes for tablets.. my tab pro 8.4… the FUCK is the biggest difference between it and tab S? and then theres the tab pro 4… wow
sony does phones every 6mos… this is ridiculous
I have a Note 4, which we all know is large. The ONLY reason I haven’t bought a tablet is because I’m addicted to that darn SPen and canNOT afford either Note tablet. Bummer!
The problem with Google Hangouts is advertising whenever I mention it a lot of people don’t know what it is or don’t even know the features that it has it has the ability to do regular text the only problem I found using it for calendar invite it doesn’t allow them to show other than that every attachments that I tried seems to work
I think google hangout is outdated compare to the all the Asian apps such as: LINE, Kakao, and WeChat. Ever since I moved to Asia, these apps are the main form of communications from texting to calling. Google Hangout is still a bit confusing, you still need to add people by gmail, I am lost as to how to find or text someone. Google is trying too hard to sync everything from Google+, Gmail, and Hangout together, and it’s becoming very confusing for the user to know where the main control panel of functionality is for hangout. I think Hangout and Skype are slowly loosing momentum as the American market slowly picks up chat the Asian chat apps. Even small a small country like Vietnam has a chat app called ZALO, which I find more user friendly than Hangout.
