Does Gremlins hold up? — Verge Update

So, you’re okay with your next tablet being from a com­pa­ny that sells its labor to sweatshops.and you give good reviews to games like Far­Cry 3 and 4,  but slam a film that Joe Dante made that was inten­tion­al­ly based on old fash­ioned late 50s Roger Cor­manesque B Movie tropes. Most of those old films were play­ing on the fears of pol­i­tics and war at the time.  Grem­lins was satire and any­one schooled in film can see all the homages Joe Dante mad.e to that par­tic­u­lar genre.
 
For exam­ple, the actors who por­trayed Mr and Mrs Fut­ter­man (Dick Miller and Jack­ie Joseph) were both in the orig­i­nal Lit­tle Shop of Hor­rors. Oh and Mr Fut­ter­man did­n’t die. Did you not see the news cast at the end of the film? So maybe you need to do a lit­tle more research because you obvi­ous­ly don’t under­stand what CONTEXT is.  You obvi­ous­ly did not do any home­work.  You  would have failed any film and lit­er­a­ture class by your lit­tle video dis­ser­ta­tion here.
