A good e‑reader is the best way we have to get lost in the world of a book, to emulate the best of a printed volume – except with an e‑reader, you get to have thousands of them with you at a time.…

the quality of this video. dang
Kindle Paperwhite is slow.
Dont buy anything till e‑ink
Kindle paperwhites are amazing.
That blinky screen thing between pages is really off putting. They never made the screen any bigger. The benefit of a bigger screen is for reading non fiction where there are diagrams. Just my take. Peace.
amazon trying to control everyone will be their downfall.
In 2019: The Kobo Clara HD is the best choice: Same price as Kindle Paperwhite. Same 6″ 300ppi screen. No ads. Overdrive integration for checking out library books directly from your e‑reader. Adjustable color temperature on the backlight for nighttime reading. It is the winner in every single category except for buying books and in that it is not waterproof while the new Paperwhite is.
CANT I HAVE KOBO ON MY E INK SMARTPHONE?
im scared to buy e reader other than amazon’s since I have audible account and afraid I might miss some features.
price range $ 159.74
I have a regular tablet and it’s has books that can fill a 4‑storey building
Thank you, I have two paperwhites, one is wifi only, one is 3G with wifi, plus the kindle gen 2. The worst thing for me is the paperwhite with 3G, the battery wont charge, Amazon tells me it lasts 5 years, mine did not. I cannot buy a new battery, Amazon do not sell batteries, Amazon’s advice? But a new ereader. I am a pensioner, I spend a lot of my day reading, but I can’t afford to buy a new ereader each time I have a battery malfunction. There is a company in Texas which sells the batteries, maybe twenty or so dollars, postage is a lot, $50 but after placing my order they informed me that new shipping laws won’t let them ship to Australia. So…I am stuck with a device I love but cannot charge. I bought a Kobo years ago, but haven’t used it, I think I have three books on it, maybe it is time to use the Kobo. Thanks for the information, maybe I should stick to my iPad forget the paperwhites.
which item i could read my personal files of epub and pdf??
Oh, how times have changed. This whole video is like one long Amazon advert! In light of Amazon reportedly mistreating their workers in their physical item business, I switched to Play Books and Kobo, and keep the Kindle tablet app for my existing purchases.
2014 — tablet times 😀
Calibre is the great equalizer. It frees me from the Amazon “ecosystem” and allows me to read any book on any reader for as long as I want. I got the Kindle Voyage when it first came out, and I just ordered the new Kindle Oasis for its warm light and bigger screen. I feel that these two readers are still the best for my particular needs.
Bought a Kindle basic 2019 few weeks ago. Totally worth it. Best buy on a budget.
Lol you think I buy books?
Nah man, I upload fanfics from ao3 get on my level
Ok, can Kindle be uses to hand written notes with a styus pen?
If i get ads in this video, it will be like inception of ad videos — ads within ads 😛
Reason I buy ebooks is because they’re cheaper than paperbacks. Why pay twice as much when in most cases you can get it for nearly half the price?
I have rehular kindle yet it has built in lighting
I don’t know if overdrive existed before this video, but imo kobo devices a superior because they allow you to access books for free from the public library near you. This means that although Amazon may have cheaper prices and more books, the kobo is by far the most cost effective device in the long run.
with a tweak and some dark magic you can run kindle software on kobo
the best e‑reader you can buy? it’s the combo kobo forma + KOreader + Bittorrent
.. Buy Kobo, price is pretty much the same and can access public library
Amazon shill, but actually liked the video.
We need updated version of this video
