Earlier this year, we reviewed the company’s first products: a key fob and the ChargeCase, and we were left mostly unimpressed. The design of the case and key fob were both bulky and ugly, and we found that it was often a burden to explain to cashiers how LoopPay worked. But as a proof of concept, LoopPay’s first efforts showed that its system can indeed work.

Great video!
huh am i third?
Might as well just glue a credit card on your phone
This is what I don’t understand. You keep more than credit card in your wallet, your driver licence, your health card (if your Canadian), student card and what ever. So having the capability to pay with your phone doesn’t eliminate your wallet! I think this is solving a problem we don’t have, or that could be just me!
is there also a fantasy world, where you use that case?
The development of different payment systems is stupid. Banks have to keep on changing the mobile payment machines. Swiping anywhere is a myth, the whole system is so expensive it only works in large stores or retail stores. Outside the city its useless. That’s the achilles heal of the system. It’s better to invest in one payment system at a time than many at once.
Interesting technology, I didn’t learn anything from this video, but after googling them I learned more, someone is going to buy these guys for sure.

Apple Pear?
We’re getting closer and closer to the microchip.
NFC is better, and its already in your phone. Why would anyone buy this useless case? (And of course its an iphone case)
but you have space for your cards in the case. surly that defeats the purpose of the payment system in the case which looks ugly as hell. Surly they were in development of this case for a long time before release. Maybe this is something they should of shown to there friends who would have then told them this is really really silly and solves no problem what so ever. I guess someone will buy it. I don’t want to be that someone and have my friend tell me i’m a bit on the silly side only to then take off the case and put it in the drawer never to be used again
I like Apple Pay. I just used it today and it is so simple.
Let’s hope they don’t get into looppay fiascos with this tech…
Just don’t use the case and keep the payment section in your pocket instead of your wallet? Flawed product imo.
I don’t really like this. It’s a weird solution.
I think the best option would be to have one physical card that has it all.
I’d hate to lose everything then solely rely on my phone for my life.
RIP LoopPay from ? — 2015.
This belongs in the CrapGadget section.
I like the Verge, but they didn’t go into enough detail with this product.
I just received mine and I figure sometime around the New Year once I’ve had a chance to seriously test it out and try out some of my other gadgets with it (Square Reader for one) I’ll be posting an extensive video review of this (currently neat and nifty) device.
this is much better that this one ? : http://www.tbcbank.ge/web/en/web/guest/pay-sticker
Samsung is in talks to integrate Looppay into their future devices? My wireless carrier (Canada: ROGERS) currently offers a Sim card which enables MANY NFC compatible devices such as the Note 4 and Galaxy S5 to be used to pay anywhere MasterCard’s PayPass is accepted. Samsung should definitely see how the carriers they supply devices to are looking to monetize on this kind of service. If they integrate Looppay into their phones then it’ll be redundant for lots of users and a big waste of money for Samsung.
Hmmm. It just seems like an extra couple of steps more than just utilizing the NFC on your phone to pay. Well, whatever works, I guess.
This is what Samsung bought.
Does the LoopPay Card case also comes with the LoopPay Card?
