#BlackBerry #Classic #review
I’ve tried the Android & Windowsphone. But I always seem to drift back to my BlackBerry … I do not care to blow $600 for an iPhone.
Honestly , what do you people have against Blackberry 10 ? Slow ? Really ? Not from what I’ve seen!
Yes the internal specs are pretty much a carbon copy of the Q10 from 2+ years ago ; they should have been Passport level specs ! Especially for the price! But BB10 is so efficient that the Classic runs great with them !
Android apps slow and buggy ? A tad slower sure but then this is an emulator not native running! I dare say that if iOS had a Android emulator, these same apps would be even slower! Come on, just running Android apps is huge ! And while we’re on this subject you are aware that other Android app stores can be readily downloaded, including the Play store ? Didn’t think so …
I’ve long suspected that tech press are paid ( ads and perhaps bribery) by Apple and Google to diss the competition. Or maybe it’s BB10’s efficiency that irritates the tech presstitutes; they wish iOS and Android were this efficient!
i went from an iphone to this. the only thing was my fingers and hand in general were pretty stiff getting used to the keys. but besides that i’m happy i got it. it’s a phone. not a gadget. calling and messaging is the best on this. THE BEST. and fuck apps. people who have a million apps on their phone are the types of people who don’t do anything else but stare at their phone anyway.
Please do tell me the differences between BlackBerry Classic SQC100‑1/ SQC100‑2/ SQC100‑3/ SQC100‑4/ and SQC100‑5
“By BlackBerry fans, for BlackBerry fans — and no one else” Wow. Doctors, investment banking executives, military officers, world leaders, celebrities and multitudes of other professionals use Blackberry devices. If you are going to bash it, please respect the fact that most of the individuals that use it are most certainly smarter and more successful than you.
Before I get into my argument against why I think your review is way too subjective and negative against the Classic and BB10, I want to layout my opinions on Apple iOS and Android…
I think Apple iOS is great. In my opinion, the iPhone 6 is the most well-rounded smartphone available. It has great ecosystem integration and everything performs well. The interface is simple and beautiful (but somewhat childish looking). Lots of business pros and executives use it. I know because I am a young business professional and I own an iPhone 6. I don’t really have an argument to say it is bad or wrong because it isn’t. I truly think if Blackberry would have opened the API up the market would be iPhone and Blackberry.
Unfortunately, Android happened. Most of the people that use Android are still buying DVDs and crappy electronics at Walmart. They are either mass-market, average people that waste time on media consumption / millions of pointless applications or they are tech spec geeks that use their fast processor to watch Netflix on their phone in front of their 65” 4k display. The first group of users are people that follow MTV and adopt what everyone else does…i.e. sheeple. Studies show that most Android users today do not even use any of the advanced functions the OS offers…they text, call, take pictures and use basic social media apps on the device. Studies also show they are mostly poor and uneducated users (I will post the links if required to deflect the criticism to the factual statistical studies). Even now you can see how Samsung and others are implementing a curved screen to entice dumb dumb to purchase a new phone. Their phones are becoming boring rectangles and they are running out of ideas to innovate. They keep throwing in pointless additions to push product and sustain growth, while not focusing on the core function of a phone being a phone. In marketing…this can be referred to as the “shiny object” theory. It works. Lastly, Android is buggy, unsecure, unpolished and in my subjective opinion…cluttered and ugly.
I am taking my time to comment on this because I plan on switching to the Classic here soon. It does everything I want and more. As I was watching tons of these reviews, I started feeling quite bad for Blackberry because the elite tech geeks are trying to review it as a device for mass-market individuals. Same thing is happening with the new Apple 12” MacBook (i.e. – I can’t connect 50 external hard-drives…its not fast enough for heavy video editing…omg I can’t produce Lord of the Rings on it) The iPhone 6 is great in theory, but I never really use any of the advanced features. I don’t do high-powered games, Snapchat, Instagram, Spotify, Pinterest, cook my meals, ect on my phone because for me, these things are a complete waste of time; I don’t live on my device like most…my LIFE brings me plenty of happiness. With regards to the iPhone, I find myself misspelling everything on the glass software keyboard. It is flimsy, everyone has one, the screen looks like crap in the sun (can’t see it either) with all the smudges and I never really feel productive on it. Plus.. it drops calls often and the battery sucks so it is not really that good of a communications device.
My old Blackberry got me through a finance degree in college and I always have this lingering pull to go back to it for the notification light, keyboard, multitasking ability, battery life, reliability and unique look / feel of the device in a sea of thin, boring, junky rectangles. There will be user interface setbacks and some initial adjustment required coming from iOS; I acknowledge this. But again, even if it is not as good as the iPhone 6, I am just sick of these reviews and how they are trying to push these guys down when they have a very good product and they are trying very hard to come back. The past management made a lot of mistakes which pushed even me away rapidly… but it does happen. They missed a big trend and they have acknowledged it, they have made tremendous progress and they are trying. Help them out a bit. Not everyone is a tech spec / app geek. Unfortunately, Dumb Dumb is just too busy sitting on their couch playing a first person shooter on their Android or iPhone to care.
This review sucks. I have an iPhone 6 and I’m switching back to blackberry this week. Stop being so biased.
I love how mkbhd has more subscribers than theverge. 1 man overthrowing a company when it comes to consumer acceptance. Beautiful.
You Suck _
BlackBerry will always outlive other phones. Working on my third BlackBerry.
BlackBerry will always outlive other phones. Working on my third BlackBerry.
what about battery life.i took blackberry z30 for its battery life which easily last for more then 2 days and what about speakers which are so loud that my phone easily wakes me up in the morning. i have an ipad mini 2 whose speakers are so quite that i always watch youtube videos with headphones. i have used ios, android and blackberry 10 os and according to me ios is the worst os in terms of functionality and versetility, second comes android os which is definitely less refined and feels more featureful but only for kids, and blackberry 10 is the best os if you dig deep into its os,cos you will find many useful things to improve your productivity, basically ios is for rich and stupid uncles, android is for kids and bb10 is for experts. i will keep my z30 like forever due to some rare features it provides me.
This phone is amazing. IMO it needs to have an Android version as well. I’ll buy two when that happens.
this should be my secondary phone i already have a samsung galaxy s7 edge
this strategy was copied by apple with the Iphone SE
I had this phone and smashed my friend’s iPhone screen with one fell swoop. Take that, Loki!
Apple and android cant get auto correct right in fact it works against the user and no predictive texting. At leased BB got the basics right and built a phone that will actually work when its old.
still a great phone
“It’s probably time to let go“
What kind of word is that? :’(
We won’t let easily go, i have a Note 8 and an iphone 8 plus, and a Blackberry Passport that I adore best 😍
This review is so bad that it made me want to buy this phone
