Ever since Chris Plante joined the Vergecast, it’s been funnier. Sure he’s annoying, but in a funny way, like a 90s cartoon. You put up with as a kid cause it was funny, but as an adult, it’s an annoying funny. Bring him back.
Did the unlisted version just disappear?
… OR is for gaming, can’t do gaming on a phone-headset to the same degree.
Nilay, enough with the phone…wait..enough with the water bottle cap…wait..enough with the coaster…phone again…ok now he’s just shaking his head no.
zzzzz
Where is the one with MKBHD, Austin Evans, and TLD?
Much better. Thank god Chris wasn’t there.
Finally, a decent episode of the Vergecast at CES. Best episode yet, you guys and gals. Not talking all over each other like in all the other episodes and there were actually some fantastic topics covered.
If I don’t get to watch Dieter’s chat with the YouTube tech crew I might cry.
im here to see the one with MKBHD, not interested in this people talking
Wild MKBHD spotted @7:49
is it me, or the blond guy… Casey, sounds so fake that’s painful to listen.. can;t stand fake people
“Here lies Nilay Patel, who died as he lived, a tech reporter extraordinaire–and had an awesome beard. I mean that beard covers the lower half of his face!”
Casey, oh yeah, even Willa Wonka’s “magic tickets” were a series of traps. Definitely do NOT go to a billionaire’s secret “contest”. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Most_Dangerous_Game
Emily & Seacrest sitting in a tree / K‑I-S-S-I-N‑G! Also, is it REALLY surprising that CES parties have little to no dancing? In a male-dominated industry, of overwhelmingly majority geeks, yeah, dancers are probably few and far between.
Nitasha’s right, the “Decoy Effect” is a real thing in marketing. Sell multiple versions of a product, where one version is clearly inferior in features and you actually INCREASE sales in the regular product. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Decoy_effect
NO! You’re not trying hard enough to improve TV! 😉 Google Now, etc., is the key to improving tv, by finding out what an individual likes and customizing the video–and advertising–to their tastes.
Best vergecast for boring CES. No Chris Plante.. my ears are soo much happier.
Is that MKBHD in the background at 8:30?
emily yoshida is lovely and congenial, but the hiring of someone to aggregate celebrity gossip is a meretricious move for the verge, and as a dedicated reader, one i wholeheartedly disagree with.
Where is the Plante?
MKBHD making a double appearance? 😂
nice cast today !
I’ll DJ fly me down.
Haven’t laughed this much while watching the Vergecast. Best Vergecast so far.
