Ford GT and Acura NSX: two classics reinvented — NAIAS 2015

It’s amaz­ing how Ford was able to apply sig­na­ture GT40 styling into the mod­ern and aero­dy­nam­ic design of the 2017 Ford GT. Acu­ra how­ev­er, went far dif­fer­ent from the orig­i­nal NSX’s design. Despite that, both cars are still the most head-turn­ing vehi­cles in the Detroit Auto Show. Oh and btw, most peo­ple don’t know this but, they’re going to add a new V8 engine to the GT some­where along 2015–17 since they recent­ly released the V8 on the Shel­by GT350R and they’re call­ing it the “EcoBeast”. Ford’s just not say­ing it but it prob­a­bly will be avail­able as a deal­er’s option lat­er 2017 when it’s out. Besides, so many peo­ple are scream­ing for a V8, Ford can obvi­ous­ly see that

You heard it here folks, year of the V6!

This is what hap­pens when the Verge thinks they know every­thing about cars after lov­ing Tes­las and attempt to review car shows. They real­ly should leave it to the peo­ple who actu­al­ly know cars. The his­to­ry of the Ford GT is off, and they aren’t scis­sor doors, but but­ter­fly doors. Cor­rect me if I’m wrong, but the NSX isn’t real­ly a super car either. Sure, it was a bril­liant car, but it does­n’t clas­si­fy as super­car, and nei­ther does it reach the same vin­tage the Ford did. Plus, it’s high­ly unlike­ly that the Ford GT will actu­al­ly look like that once it actu­al­ly is pro­duced. It is only a pure con­cept for now, much like how oth­er automak­ers like Nis­san show only adap­ta­tions of what is to come. I find it very unlike­ly that Ford could mass pro­duce a car with so many angles and curves, as they don’t make such cars for most of their mar­ket. It’s just like how Nis­san could nev­er sell the GTR for too high a price because they don’t qual­i­fy to be a super car mak­er for most of their mar­ket shares

Would def­i­nite­ly go for NSX. Looks much more pleas­ing. I would go out on a limb and say NSX will be an inter­na­tion­al hit. GT will be bought by Die-Hard Ford lovers ( and there’s noth­ing wrong with that) because they love that pure amer­i­can per­for­mance. I on the oth­er hand think that there’s not much inno­va­tion going on with the GT and it prob­a­bly is rather expen­sive. NSX, I don’t expect to exceed $150K range.and dont get me wrong both of them look great, its just that GT looks like a pure per­for­mance out­put-ing track car by exter­nal looks and NSX looks more normal/consumer esque. buy­ing a NSX makes more sense to me. Which one would you rather have? Com­ment below
