sick!
second
It would be interesting to see if you could install multiple receivers to speed up the charging
Project ARA with Energous modules! #WINNING
Who the hell puts their router on their ceiling? Cool video btw.
It’s the future.
This is real wireless charging there’s not much benefit to a charging pad tbh it’s more novelty. It isn’t all that convenient either.
How fast will we b able 2 charge using dis technology…???
Love the new wireless idea, nice video.
This is a real wireless charger. I look forward to this.
this wireless charger will charge your brain also and make scramble eggs from it
to bad it took 90yrs and nikola teslas death for it to come to market just a matter of time when we can use this to power homes cars and lots of other things
Couldn’t you just run a microwave with it’s door open? It’s essentially the same technology.
Perfect when having lots of company.
The real thing will be when we can have a TV sitting on the wall with no wires, or a laptop on at home 24/7 without wasting the internal battery. as of now it is just the beggining (see how reduced they are in terms of distance and Watts)
Also notice they are NOT in the CES floor, I wonder how other electronic devices or magnetic waves nearby affect the performance of the system..
i just wonder how much power systems take, both charging and standby
if anyone could tell that would be much apreciated
Questions:
1. Efficiency of charge? I suppose it changes with the distance from the wireless power source
2. Electromagnetic standars compatibility? Meaning will it cause cancer or not
Tesla would be proud of you!
lol the interview is so serious. Please smile.
Of my god you’re ripping off Tesla’s design for wireless energy
I saw a video on this on TED. Basically the same technology but made into a real product.
Future is here !
Think of how advanced this could be.
Planes staying in air for months on in with out coming down.
first
his phone was on 82% for the longest time o.o
how much
whats the efficiency? I highly doubt you will be able to do this kind of wireless charging without using mega watts of power to give a few watts of power
A phone needs about 10w to charge effectively. And, you must hold the device perpendicular to the source. 1 square CM should need 10W/CM^2. I’m not an expert but that seems like a lot of energy. The figures below are milliwatts or 1/000 of a watt. A phone needs a focused beam 10,000 times what is being called safe here. But I’m no expert.
American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM)has stated that there have been no proven biological effects associated with an unfocused sound beam with intensities below 100 mW/cm² SPTA or focused sound beams below an intensity level of 1 mW/cm² SPTA.[9]
So long as one particularly greedy brand (Apple…) does not buy out this company or bribe them with billions of $$$ to only let their brand use this tech — then it could be a step forward. What Qi has been from old fashioned wired charging! 🙂
There are a lot of gullible people in this world. Can’t believe AA fell for this. You will NEVER be able to buy this product, not even in 100k years from now. Unless your willing to send so much power and fried everyone’s brain in the room while charging their phone. You be dead, but not your phone. I see no problem with this scenario.
2016 how much does this charging system cost ? its sending out ultrasonic wave but is it fully utilize and not wasting unused energy ?
Look at 1:03 and then 4:03 . The battery level dropped from 83% to 82%. Nice job lol
FCC approved! Stock is up and chugging along, take a look WATT
Go take a look at insidercow — dot — com and search for “WATT” the symbol for Energous. Michael Leadman — the guy on the left — sold big chunks of his share early this year.
Over three years later and not a single product. FAIL. Pathetic.
