Microsoft gave us an early look today at how Windows 10 will run on tablets, and it’s a little surprising. It’s essentially the same as the desktop version of Windows 10.

Windows 10 twice better than garbage useless Mac Yosemite OSX. which no one uses it lol… Bye bye Yosemite junk
I can’t believe windows 10 is also failing, xp was great, vista failed, 7 was great, 8 failed, 10 will be great, right? RIGHT?
trash bin still on the desktop lol ?
which current windows 8/8.1 tablets will be upgraded isnt it any that run 8/8.1??
i think tablets would need to take an approah of either make use of on screen buttons like android phones and tablets or ask manufacturers to add capacitive buttons like the windows phones
Looks pretty laggy to me.
Performance looks very sluggish.
Why would i want a desktop experience on a 8 in tablet?? maybe a 10–13 in tablet, but they should make the interface simpler for basic tablets!
For everyone complaining.
1: Less then 8 inch tablets will get the windows “phone” os (now just called windows 10 on small devices I think). More then 8 inches will get the windows desktop version.
2: It’s a preview build so don’t expect it to be smooth 100% of the time on low powered devices.
Ny opinion is that it seems very nice for larger tablets and 2 in 1s because of our unified the desktop and tablet is. It really all depends of the apps in for tablet mode which look good.
a tablet like that will probably last 2–3 hours of normal use on battery. that is where I am concerned. Also the windows looks great however the experience on the tablet doesn’t look the same. there is a lot of lag and frame drops. other than that windows 10 is very welcome on a normal computer.
Ohh.. the tablet processor seems to be struggling when switching between apps. It might not gonna be a smooth experience considering the stutters…
Am not sure if windows 10 is going to work
Guys, please… It’s still in technical preview. So, you can’t expect 100% smoothness. Please wait for the official release and decide.
Why don’t they just keep Windows 8 for tablets and Windows 10 for desktops because Windows 8 is much user-friendly for touch screens while desktops are not.
What tablet is that? Anybody?
Does it run in landscape mode and can u still run legacy apps from the desktop like the older tablets on 8 in and smaller tablets?
i tried windows 1o technical preview, it was the best. it’s easy for my job and it’s good in games. so many supporting drivers. i like it
Can You stop asking about the weather on every fucking review, please
What tablet are they using in the video?
This is the opposite of 8’s problem, there’s no differentiation between desktop and tablet modes. It’s all mixed together. Why does tablet mode need a taskbar?
So much to learn from Apple about the software side of things..
Looks horribly optimized. I like ios and OS X. Each perfectly optimzied for their respective devices. I’d rather have two devices that each work well with a well-optimized OS, then one device that cuts corners. Example: an iPhone 6 plus is too big to be a comfortable iphone for me, and too small to be an enjoyable, immersive tablet for me. I’d rather have two great, then one good.
Sweet!! Why you people complaining, if you want tablet mode use it in that mode!! You don’t have to use desktop mode because it’s there.. Choice is a good thing!
What tablet is this?
I’m getting ready to buy a new computer, laptop, tablet. I love my windows 7 so much that it has taken me this long to change, only bc I have to.
I really like it but Microsoft still give a shit on security…
They should have done this with Windows 8. I just cannot believe the top management of Microsoft looked at Windows 8 and thought consumers would like to use it on desktops. I used Windows 8 beta, and it was the first Windows I hated (I even liked Vista) and predicted it would fail.
I am using Windows 10 preview, and it is not perfect but at least it shows some respect to desktops. I predict Windows 10 shall be the new Windows 7, and Windows 7 shall be the new Windows XP.
Looks pretty messy to me..
Was worried about all these reports saying that touch screen tablets are now pointless with win 10. Glad to see that statement was overblown
WILL THE TASKBAR BE THERE ALWAYS??? PLEASE NO!!!
This video confirm my thought of how pc Os don’t fit on tablets
jajajjaaj by Little and it does look bad..
Microsoft really screwed up, this interface is terrible for tablets. I’ve been testing the latest builds and it is unusable on my tablets. This is a major downgrade from 8.1 on tablets. Desktop UI does not belong in tablets and phones.
What’s the name of the device he is holding?
So with one platform that supports all devices, does that mean I will be able to run computer software on a tablet/phone? and what about computer games?(although I doubt it a tablet could possibly run GTA V
Which tablets is this?
which tablet is it??
IOS and Android are way better OS than Windows 8/10 on tablets because it is way more touch friendly and have very touch friendly apps and is way more appealing and easy and fun to use than Windows on tablets.
Really hope IOS and Android won’t ever disappear on tablets!!!!
what tab it is?
which tablet is it plzzz tell me.……
