I will really need a Theme for Windows 10. I can’t handle that bad implementation of Flat UI.
I want buildin Aero back Microsoft, please !
Many responders should learn Microsoft isn’t using YouTube as feedback input..
I’m impressed by Windows 10 and DirectX12. It’s the next step for a whole new generation off productivity and entertainment.
I realize that this is a demo but it doesn’t look impressive.
Well, it’s better than Windows 8.
this looks cool then again i said that about win 8
I’m looking forward for Windows 10 as my future laptop OS as long as the laptop is price at $500-$600
Why the hell are you reviewing it on a tablet? You all should very well know by now that noone really cares what can Windows do on tablets.
Get it on a desktop or a proper laptop (no touchscreen bullshit) then you can call it a review. Otherwise it’s just a surface pro advert.
Awesome.
It’s nice because it gives you choice, whether you want tablet or desktop experience.
Sometimes when I’m messing around with an Android tablet or an iPad, sometimes I do things I wish could’ve been done in a flexible, desktop-like manner, like copying text to another apps or moving files.
And I think windows 10 will give us the best of both worlds.
This is great and all, but who the fuck actually uses these hybrid tablet/laptop things?! I never understood why windows focused so much on touch. It’s getting better, but PCs without touch shouldn’t even have these weird full-screen app.
“Upgraded folder icons“
Wow.. Now I just can’t wait to get my hands on this new OS
I like the look of things… but I really wish they’d make a seperate UI for non-touchcreen desktops and laptops. Again, I think it looks nice. But, I don’t think I’d be able to stomach using such a UI with just a mouse and keyboard alone.
Man this is awesome! I love this, it far better than any other OS. Great job Microsoft!
There are quite a few annoyances present in windows 8/8.1 . But one of them for desktop users is the Charms Bar . I mean I really hate this thing. I am using a third party software just to kill it. I hope MS will change this with Windows 10 and the new notification panel. I don’t want it to accidently pop up when I move my mouse towards it. Just a simple keyboard shortcut will be nice .
I am really optimistic will Windows 10 and I hope Microsoft had listened to the consumers this time. Please MS, make the desktop users happy this time 🙂
I don’t care about OSs because I’m working on top of a web browser at 99% of the time
I’ve been running Windows 10 Preview since the first day it was released. It was a buggy mess until very recently (mine updated about a week ago), but now everything is much quicker, more polished, and FINALLY STABLE!
It’s really look like iOS Maverick
This comments section is hilarious. A lot of people here are bashing it for looking messy, and I’m pretty positive most of you haven’t tried it yet. Download a VM of this and try it. I’m 90% sure you’ll like it. If you don’t, you must be really stuck on Windows 7 because this is a lot like windows 7 when you use it. It just has the design of windows 8.
Besides all the discussion whether or not this OS is better than the ones before or even Mac (i)OS, am I the only one that’s seriously annoyed by how the things the voice in the video explained didn’t actually work? Trying to gesture the crap out of the device and having no internet connection (good job there…) for example. Gosh, I came here because I thought I would actually start to consider Windows 10 and am leaving now with pure disgust. God damn!
OS X
i wish you could get os x on any computer instead of only apple computer (correct me if i’m wrong please) because windows is getting worse and worse… just can’t afford a mac :/
This dude seems like he’s never used a computer before.
microsoft copied some few features from Yosemite bitches
Looks awkward when using it. I can see the iOS/Android task switching. I guess Windows 7 will reign supreme for now
Just make windows run faster and get better graphic designers..
what version are you using
professional
enterprise
ultimate
home premium
home basic
or windows BOB 10
Can someone tell me the model of the keyboard from the video > 0:11
i like it. if you windows 7 lovers want to stick to your old win 7, then go ahead. windows 7 was once like this, all the bloody windows xp user going “fuck this ugly win 7, im sticking with my win xp”.
give it a shot, and stop your whinging.
also, i want to add, IF YOU DONT WANT TO USE TABLET MODE, DON’T USE IT FFS STOP COMPLAINING !!!!!!!!!!!! ITS OPTIONAL, YOUR NOT FORCED TO USE IT!
It looks an awful lot closer to my OS on my macbook. Which tbh, is only a good thing.
Lol been using windows for 10 years and since I switched to os x I never looked back, windows looks so outdated comparing to OS X…
Wow, I haven’t been excited for a windows release for a long time! This is making me actually consider switching back to PC.
I am looking forward to this, can’t wait to install this on my Dell XPS laptop. I think it’s good to have a cross section of devices and not be “married” to one system. I have a Mac desktop, Apple mobile devices and a windows ultrabook that I use for work and school. I mostly use my Apple products for media consumption and communication with friends and family since most people I know use iPhones and iPads. If your eclectic in your approach, you can take advantage of the best of both worlds.
I’m sensing a lot of osx from Windows 10
take away the touch stuff, and what more does it offer?
I love the new action center!!!
What needs to be done is the rest of Windows needs to be update properly.
I’ll sit down at my Windows 8 pc, click the wifi icon, and be like: Wow, I’m in that new part of Windows, where everything is slow and laggy feeling.
We’ve moved throw 98, xp, Aero, and now Metro themes and an surprisingly large amount of the 98 style applications are still built into Window, there’s actually very few Windows 8 style stuff. Hell, half of control panel is from XP. They need to stop just throwing new paint on the top of the OS.
Great comeback
Windows 8 — suck + Windows 7 + amazing innovation = BAEEEEEE!!!
(Windows 10) In other words, obviously the best OS ever.

They should first consult with consumers before coming up with stupid features.
woooah, upgraded icons???
The fingerprints.
I can’t believe Microsoft had pulled massive new arena of possibility in laptop environment which not only fuse with all three platforms which even extended the vision we all look at laptop or desktops great inception to the new world of PC experience merged with smartphone and tablets heads up
I still feel a very obvious divide between metro (the modern tablet‑y apps) and desktop programs. I hoped that that would be fully integrated by now. 🙁
Windows 11 is to be revealed tomorrow. Yay!
who came here after microsoft announcing windows 11??
