Bald headed turd burglar
You are smoking crack, guys. Just acknowledge that terms like “fair” and “equal voices” can only be implemented through censorship. Really naive view of the world by some left leaning journalists who buy what they are told. Good luck
This is off topic, but does anyone know what frames Jake has?
Obama voters who never knew what the gov‑t can do to bend them over in order to stay in power proudly create this kind of videos to celebrate the fact that their freedom goes to the toilet. They would better give their gov‑t more control over their pathetic lives and keep those pieces of human waste to keep their offices then let anyone become reach. Clearly, I have choosen a wrong country to immigrate to.
Oh look, I had you in my subs! Now that you’ve whored out to new wave sexist feminist bigots I am going to unsub with a bang you spineless sexist professional liars gamer-hater anti-male hypocrites. Fuck YOU
George Soros and his $196 million just scored a major victory against the American people.
Enjoy the internet, While you still can…
Jesus Christ, you commentors watch too much Fox News…
How is this a victory? Please give me an example of anything that government has improve. Now big business will only have to have a few guys in their pocket to control the flow of information. I am very disappointed at this video man. I really liked your content I don’t understand why you would support government making the control of the internet official. Please take this video down man.
Excellent video, high quality informative discussion. Would like to see more bids like this
Change the speed to 1.25 then they speak at normal speeds
This chat lacked objectivity. In reading the NPR article about this vote, I do find it concerning that “Precise terms and details of the [300+ page] policy have not been made publicly available” and it seems within reason that the Republicans would seek postponing the vote due to this lack of transparency. Wheeler’s background as a lobbyist for cable and telecom companies has regularly come under question in where he stands with Net Neutrality. Net neutrality argues that content providers should not be charged by telecom for faster access to the content they provide, instead access should be blind to the nature and source of the content. Net Neutrality proponents fear that telecom companies would stratify the Internet into access speeds in favor of telecom’s own content over competitor content. With 50% of Internet bandwidth used in the U.S. involving access to Netflix and Youtube content, Netflix and Google could hypothetically be hit with massive charges from the cable/telecom industry. (With Google it’s less clear as Google also is a telecom company in cities with Google fiber.) Though the details of the document are undisclosed, it seems Title II serves to put the Internet under federal regulation as a utility; thus providing a blind treatment of the nature of the data as with the blind treatment given to conversations on telephone lines. It is a roundabout but potentially pragmatic way of “protecting” net neutrality. What is unclear is did the Internet need regulating in the first place and what are the implications of this new enforcement?
I’m a conspiracy-minded libertarian concerning most things political, but let’s get real, something had to happen. Verizon, ATT, Comcast, they are all disgusting monopolies which threaten to destroy the freedom of the Internet by charging outrageous fees for acceptable service, both to the consumer, and to the content provider, merely for owning the pipeline. Not only were they positioning to slam Netflix, Amazon, etc when 4k streaming takes off (pay to prioritize your content delivery) they were going to price gouge consumers (pay more for higher def content). We need faster, 4k ready Internet streams for all, and we won’t ever get there if people don’t stand up to the greedy gatekeepers. We deserve better.
Maybe there’s a sinister plot hidden in the fine print that I’m not aware of, but the idea I’ve been hearing, which significantly cuts down the power of the monopolies to control the Internet, is a good one.
In the long run this is going to be more beneficial to the consumer. Government regulation sounds scary but feels like a better alternative to letting these crooked corporations control the internet.
This is essentially trying to fix a problem caused by government regulation with more regulation. If ISP’s weren’t forced into quasi localised monopolies all the net neutrality fear mongering wouldn’t be an issue in the first place…
@GagliaProductions im so sad how will the channel continue without you?????
Having a city that also runs the police department controlling the internet is a bad idea. They won’t need a search warrants since you are using their equipment. The government has used the postal service in the past to disrupt groups.
It would be much better to finance a startup to build fiber.
Stick to tech you guys know little to nothing about politics. I nearly hit the unsubscribe button over this video :/
if the internet is fine why get involved
Lol why are all providers jerks in america 😎
Wait wait what kind of sick joke is this at 2:27? Who the hell goes around saying americans invented the internet??
I like how I got an ad for Netflix on this video.
omfg who gives a single shit
the dress is #whiteandgold get your fucking eyes checked dumbo
Format where I watch a video with two guys telling each other shit they already know = boring and unengaging. 2:39 in and I’m done…gonna go learn more about net neutrality from somewhere less obtuse…
I like the straight forward nature of the verges journalist/presenters.
Not bombastic. Not pretty boys yelling at you. They have a good angle on things.
They don’t have control over the Internet. learn what it is.
pfff, complex dialogue and too much careful argumentation. “disclaimer” “we have to wait and see how that pans out” used quite a bit.
Unsub.
👌👏
Both of them have really nice teeth
Defend #netneutrality
In no way is this any kind of victory. Sheep gunna sheep. That unsubscribe button looks pretty good.
I wonder if those anti-Title II commenters here are paid by or employees from Comcast, Verizon, TWC or AT&T.
Does this now mean AT&T can no longer slowdown/throttle my grandfathered unlimited data?
Another victory for morons!
So i’m a bit lost on the what happens with this speed, because when i think of “oh, we’re all now gonna be able to have free internet” when ever i picture internet being a utility, i picture nearly everyone’s internet being just as fast as the next guy from then on, so where im confused is, what happens to those of us who pay quite a decent amount of money to get high speed internet, im talking about like 25+ mbps and so on, for some reason i picture it being slower than that and all of us are locked at the same speed, all in all, idk enough to know if i like this “net neutrality”.
Anyone care to school me on these concerns?
Finally I think tom Wheeler is not a dingo!!!!!!
Obama fan boys. How cute.
Macs for everybody !
This piece was long on smug political gloating. I was hoping to inform myself about this change in order to be able to make up my own mind about which way the pro and cons would tip the scales. It’s can be unwise to make fundamental changes to governmental regulations without at least some bipartisan support because the changes often engender resentment that manifests itself when power changes hands.
