After bid­ding farewell, hours ear­li­er, to the Expe­di­tion 43 crew mem­bers and undock­ing their Soyuz space­craft from the Inter­na­tion­al Space Sta­tion, Expe­di­tion 42 Com­man­der Bar­ry Wilmore of NASA, Soyuz Com­man­der Alexan­der Samokutyaev of the Russ­ian Fed­er­al Space Agency (Roscos­mos) and Flight Engi­neer Ele­na Sero­va of Roscos­mos land­ed safe­ly in Kaza­khstan on March 11, EDT time. The trio com­plet­ed 167 days in space since launch­ing in late September.
