MY BRAND
You suck at explaining or presenting concepts. Here, take my dislike.
huh?
Nice vid!
This is the worst thing I’ve ever seen
so what is brand activation?
The Bates Motel thing was cool but not an ‘activation’, its a PR stunt. It was cool because it was for a media like The Verge. Comparing a ‘public’ activations (Pepsi, GoT, etc.) versus the PR media stunt isn’t fair. That being said most were indeed lame.
Why does she sound so entitled with the free case at the Game of Thrones exhibit? Its free of course its gonna be a shitty case.
No Verge, no. (The presenter)
How about instead of throwing buzzwords that aren’t real at people you conduct a thought out video.
Wow, I see a lot of sexual innuendo in this video, I’m a bad person?
stubbbbbssss
Part 1: Where is the effort-free swag?
Part 2: Can you tell me what brand activation is random temp staffer?
Part 3: Pepsi friend, please explain this booth before I enter.
Part 4: Yay, effortless swag.
End.
Emily Yoshida is consistently awesome. Fin.
With all the brands at sxsw I’m a little dissapointed with you only visited these 3 and made a judgement. Also brand activation is the weirdest term I’ve heard to define experiential marketing. Experiential Marketing is a way for people to experience a brand and leave with good conclusion of the brand. I drove Mazda’s around for sxsw and we gave free rides. A lot of the people not only get to be happy they didn’t walk, get rained on, or not pay for a taxi but they also got to see how great the interiors of the Mazda’s were and how smooth they drive. The idea of this marketing is not to sell them a car tomorrow but to be in the running next time they decide to buy. Also by tweeting and hash tagging the The brand with a good experience at the time the consumer does experience generates a word of mouth that extends to their friends a positive brand image. Experiential Marketing is big business and I think you should have focused on the Samsung Experience or the Verizon ATXUNITE experience even the Mazda Express experience which were all great experiential marketing campaigns.
Great campaign, If you are interested I made a video explaining the concept for SME’s willing to go big like Coke 😉
The Bate’s Motel was made famous in the 1960’s Alfred Hitchcock Movie “Psycho,” not the AE TV Series derived from that movie.
If you didn’t know about Bates. You wouldn’t be activated. Lol
