Uber <3
Lol. Only in France would people overturn cars because of a cell phone app.
Taxi organization in Europe are often taken over the top. I understand the fear for jobs of the drivers, I won’t argue this. Nevertheless being a taxi driver is not high qualification job. Taxi drivers are not in the same category as lawyers, surgeons, nurses or software engineers. There is a clear difference in amount of qualifications required and studying to do. Taxi driver is one of the jobs that robots will be doing in the future.
Blocking important transport points and using even violence trying to force their view on saving archaic, artificially limited access industry is not going to save them in the long run. This is borderline terrorism (we are many, we can make your life miserable, act as we say or else).
Strike OK. But when rail staff is on strike (ever other month?), they don’t block Taxis, buses or private cars at the rail stations or anywhere for that matter.
What Taxi drivers have shown is that they have low moral values and low respect for other people. To say the least — they are not winning any sympathy, no matter what Uber is doing.
That’s called a riot. Not a protest…
Riot
The same thing is happening with UBER in Mexico City. :/
Da faq?
uber drivers.…less scamming than the normal taxi drivers
Uberx in India has base fare of 1.2 $ then about 20–30 cents per km.
Just wait till Uber uses driverless automated electric cars. Technological unemployment people.
I have just seen the dumbest reason to protest, ever!
The ad I got before this video was Uber…
Frenchmen often are peasants.
Government is the problem.
So, who reigns in France: the mob with its violence (many of them recent migrants) or the law? The same question arises whenever violent migrants go on rampage (and the leftist idiots defend them). Who rules in Europe, the law or the mob ?
this is why we cant have nice things
Disrupted economies will fight against the future but in the end, they should be competitive because they will be disrupted anyway. Governements should move along the changes and create the venues, but with governments that don’t understand what is happening…
I’m an Uber user for a year now here in the Philippines, and it’s way safer and more convenient to use Uber rather than using a Taxi Cab since it’s way cheaper and has a great excellent service they have
It’s the model T and horse and carriage fiasco all over again, when will people realise you can’t stop progress nor should you try..
One thing that was not mentioned here is that the government actually delivers taxi licenses for free, it’s the taxi drivers themselves who created this unofficial market for licenses to keep the competition low and the prices high. They f*****g deserve what’s happening to them.
what are they going to do when companies come out with self driving car systems. You will eventually become completely unnecessary taxi drivers. Sorry to break it to you.
Is Nationwide drivers protest against Uber for high fee charge on June 8 true?
