What the hell, Verge­cast on YouTube? No way! This is long over­due but still amazing.

Verge­cast back on YouTube !

i have to say, that was refresh­ing.. decid­ed to wait until the end of the cast’ to leave a com­ment. Ha. 
  will there be more to come with +Lau­ren­Goode and +Walt­Moss­berg var­i­ous oth­ers of Re/Code on the verge­cast.… would be nice to seen Bloomberg’s Josh T back on the seat also, you know as a old time sake thing; but hey times are rolling. 
There were good opin­ions on the gang of four feisty and hard com­men­tary… i would like to share few thoughts, very unlike­ly to be noticed… any­way it was refresh­ing a new verge­cast with new crew-ish..

why did you guys stop upload­ing these to youtube?

I think what Sam said about our gen­er­a­tion’s hold on con­nect­ed­ness through­out the world and how that will be the thing that insures Beats One Radio’s suc­cess was spot on. Much like Tum­blr, Twit­ter, even Insta­gram, it’ll become a place where, even though you’re not active­ly par­tic­i­pat­ing in it, there’s a lev­el of con­nec­tion that peo­ple will love and cause them to talk about it and share on these oth­er social media plat­forms. It’s an old school idea built with new school tech­nol­o­gy. I’m real­ly excit­ed to see how how it’s received.

This was ter­ri­ble. Walt was dom­i­neer­ing and con­stant­ly shut peo­ple down. It made things super awk­ward and boring.

I think the old­er gen­tle­man has got to go. He does­n’t fit the for­mat of your pod­cast and quite frankly was talk­ing gib­ber­ish. For the record android needs Google more than Google needs android. If android were dumb enough drop Google ser­vices there would not be a point to own­ing one. I’d switch to Apple and use the Google services.

Excel­lent verge­cast guys. Walt drove the whole con­ver­sa­tion and stopped it form derail­ing it. KEEP HIM THERE. AT ALL TIMES.

Did you notice how Nilay prais­es Apple for 30 min­utes, and then when Walt asks “what is Apple bad at?” which he fol­lows with “Cloud Ser­vices” and then Nilay quick­ly kills the con­ver­sa­tion (3 minute talk) and moves onto Google.

They real­ly gave Ama­zon and Microsoft short shrift. I read some­where that the FireTVs are actu­al­ly suc­cess­ful, as ear­ly as it is for them, so Walt’s asser­tion is not accu­rate ful­ly there. Also they did­n’t say any­thing about Ama­zon’s con­tent play to fight Net­flix. Also they did­n’t say any­thing about Hololens, or the cross plat­form play they’re doing with their apps. They just went on and on about Apple and Google.

When Walt Moss­berg speaks, let him speak. Con­tin­u­ous inter­rup­tions dur­ing his speech by the host  was pret­ty annoy­ing. Most of the time host was talk­ing with­out any valid con­text. Walt Moss­berg’s com­ments about the tech indus­try is very insight­ful, we like to hear that more.
