Expe­di­tion 45 Soyuz Com­man­der Sergei Volkov of the Russ­ian Fed­er­al Space Agency (Roscos­mos) and vis­it­ing crew mem­bers Andreas Mogensen of the Euro­pean Space Agency (ESA) and Aidyn Aim­be­tov of the Kaza­kh Space Agency (Kaz­cos­mos), and their back­ups, Oleg Skripochka and Sergei Prokopy­ev of Roscos­mos and Thomas Pes­quet of ESA vis­it­ed the Gagarin Muse­um in Star City, Rus­sia July 8, where they viewed his­toric space arti­facts, then trav­eled to Red Square in Moscow to lay flow­ers at the Krem­lin Wall where Russ­ian space icons are interred. Volkov, Mogensen and Aim­be­tov are sched­uled to launch on Sept. 2, Kaza­kh time, in the Soyuz TMA-18M space­craft to the Inter­na­tion­al Space Station.
