#Flagship #Phones #Dying
I got a Galaxy s4 for like 230$! Works great and it is amazing.
what did he want to say in this video?! completely useless
The first ever mobile texting device (made by Blackberry) had half a month battery life, the second version to that had 1 month battery life even though it only have the slot for 1AA battery in contrary to 2 in the first version.
Before smartphone, battery life was still pretty steady and most phone last at least 3 days.
We need battery improvement, not just increasing battery technology and all that stuff, we need to find a way so that our devices consume less battery on the whole and have better power management.
P. S. Anyone who owns a
Redmi 2 and still waiting for lollipop update?
All devices will have high price at first because it is new technology and only few companies offer them but later on, when the parts get cheaper to make, those device plus more companies starting to sell them, it will eventually drop the price and also to lure more consumers to buy from them rather than there competitors product.
solar panel charging phone thats a game changer
Fabulous Video
so is getting a moto x pure even worth it over a one plus one
I completely agree with you.
The real question :WILL people STOP buying APPLE!!!
If OEMs could follow Asus’s lead with the Zenfone Max, that would be great. The device packs a huge 5000 mAh battery which some may call insane (because it really is, given the current smartphone standards) but to be honest, smartphones should really start offering not just aesthetics and raw power, but also solid substance in the battery department. Longevity is becoming a bigger issue everyday. Say, you have a super-powerful Galaxy Note 5. How long can you use it before you come running to the nearest power outlet?
The z5 for example is a fantastic looking phone, but £750?! Completely ridiculous. Not only is it sporting the risky SD 810, it has no RM battery, and although the power button is a definite upgrade, does it really warrant an extra £300 on top of the z3? The 4k screen is a nice addition for some people, but for others they don't even notice a difference. I'd be happier with a 1080p screen for the improved battery and performance, as would the vast majority… do Sony R&D employees even read about customer suggestions?
The prices of new flagship phones are completely ludicrous, how Sony can expect to keep loyal customers with prices like this, in relation to the specs the device is providing is just audacity. The viewing angles on the screen are still extremely poor compared with AMOLED but no real fix has been implemented, just another 'bravia engine upgrade' and an extra 2000 pixels. Please try not to worry about the washed out colours without the xReality or the completely abysmal viewing angles. Sadly though, I will probably, end up buying it when it drops in price, only because I love Sony's black slate syle.
“Tank” phones with stupid crazy specs, or custom builds.
Yeah my Galaxy S3 contract is up next week and I’m going for the Nokia Lumia 830. It’s pretty equal to flagships for half the price. Lately whenever I see a Samsung phone I dislike them more and more. They’re ugly to be honest. And iOS really isn’t for me and the iPhone 6 has flaws that are an easy fix (aka make the phone a little thicker = no camera bulge, no antenna lines, bigger battery, etc.). Windows Phone might be what I’ve needed all along.
I suppose the only real reason why I upgrade is because I get sick of using the same phone 🙁
thoughts on moto x vs 1+2?
Most manufactures will need to slim down their line. IE from the various millions of filler shit they make to maybe five or less devices released total for the whole year. This will allow the product to have a limited like aura about it and premium feel as the manufacture will only have to focus on a few models at any given time.
Or just do what the other guy is doing and make a middle of the road slab and sell it for cheap a la OnePlus 2
The Edge screen on The Galaxy is a technical innovation but I don’t see any innovation in it for real life usage. It is just supposed to be better looking but I find it to deteriorate the media consumption experience…
innovation for the sake of standing out is hardly ever the way to go
Can Apple and android like join forces for 1 phone
Flagships are shit
moto e all the way
I would hope and pray that Samsung , LG Sony ‚etc are listening to what Jayce has to say- he has a very good point.
I saw this 2 years before and I a whaiting
Meanwhile Apple has over 10 million preorders and are the most profitable company in the world.
So much talk for such a mundane topic.
I want to be able to play every computer game (CS GO, LoL, WoW, etc) on high resolution on my phone, and a 1,000,000,000 mah battery. Please tell me again how the specs are good enough already.
Nokia N95! That was the last time I was stunned by a phone.
That was the time i realized that a phone can have a GPS, good 5mp + flash, Wifi, FM radio, sd-card, apps.. you name it.. and it was 2006! (yes, it was before iphone)
What have we done since then? We only improved each feature, but did we add some new ground braking feature? No. We didn’t.
Flagship phones probably won’t die in the U.S. though because we can be greedy pricks that always want the best and want to throw out their phone once something new is announced
I think its going to be a lot like desktops/laptops were there will always be some crazy high end model that fits some need lets look at gaming computers and laptops. Yes you can find some budget gaming computer which will still be 20–50% above a normal laptop and then there will be the crazy ones out there that are 2–5k. When laptops first game out all of them were super pricy and then slowly there were cheaper ones that worked and the mareket corrects its self. The average smart phone cost will stop around 150–200 and will meet everyones needs like some of the HP/Dell models that every single person had and then you will still get the exhotics there costs will go up a little and the rest will be history.
technology never stop developing. just way back 2010 ithink? first galaxy s was relase and were like “omg so great phone so powerful” and now 2015 galaxy note 5 has been relased were like “omg so great so power so beutiful” until we die that
but apple do this and get away with it so much that it’s ridiculous so I think that has delayed androids price drops and won’t help with big manufacturers such as Samsung dropping prices
first ?
Only my edge laging then scroling meniu or fb?
That is because consumers have wisened up to the fact that raw specs doesn’t necessarily translate into real-world gains. A $150 Xiaomi or $200 Moto G despite low end hardware can easily hang in with flagships easily costing 3 to 4x as much in terms of general performance in typical usage with minimal real-world compromises, so why pay astronomical sums for a flagship?
Is the galaxy note 5 laggy ( due to its super amoled display ) , i am buying the phones specially for gamming so i am thinking to change from iphone 6+ to the galaxy note 5 please tell me if it would be a step up or a bad deal ., thanks for the video
It is just like Windows. No one is buying expensive pic’s anymore, because the hardware whether expensive or no has the identical os.
JUST ADD IN REMOVABLE BATTERY BRIG BACK 2009
my phone was only 113$ and monthly is 35$ a month. so it’s not anything. compared to anything you said at the beginning
Battery life is the only thing that needs improvement, this years flagship is next years mid range as we all know
I love my Flagship phones but when I heard about the ZTE zMAX Pro I had to check it out I play with my friends and I was mind-blown this does everything my Galaxy Note 5 does and it’s only $99 at MetroPCS what look it up it’s a absolute great phone I had to buy one and I’m using it as my daily driver over my Note 5 I still need to root the thing and install CyanogenMod but after that it’s really going to be on
but after owning the ZTE zMAX Pro and using it over my Note 5 I would agree Flagship phones are going to be dying because this is a flagship experience with a fingerprint scanner and all for $99 at MetroPCS I don’t normally buy phones that are on the cheap side but there’s nothing cheap about this phone
I think that world is full of competition
The phone market is going to burst like any other market housing car…
Watching on my Note 8 and I can’t complain about price 😁
If only they could predict the iPhone X 😂😂
Jayce, what’s your current daily driver?
My g4 does everything a new flagship does.. And actually the camera is better once you consider the bigger sensor and shoot in raw.. All the new phones are relying on software hdr garbage with tiny sensors.. Yea the menus might be different on the new phones but i have a removable battery.. So when it dies or takes a crap i can just buy another one for 40 bucks and be good again 😉
