Aboard the Inter­na­tion­al Space Sta­tion, Expe­di­tion 45 Flight Engi­neer Kimiya Yui of the Japan Aero­space Explo­ration Agency (JAXA) field­ed ques­tions about life and work in orbit from res­i­dents and stu­dents from his home­town in the Kawaka­mi Vil­lage Province of the Nagano Pre­fec­ture in Japan dur­ing an in-flight linkup Sept. 29. Yui arrived on the sta­tion in late July and is sched­uled to remain in orbit until late Decem­ber con­duct­ing research and main­te­nance activities.
