Samsung Galaxy View hands on

OK guys, First I am so tired of hear­ing every­one talk­ing about the kick­stand on the Galaxy View is not remov­able. The kick­stand is very much so remov­able. There are 2 tabs just behind the screen than when pushed inboard detach­es the kick­stand. Now you can put it in a bag or just use it like any oth­er reg­u­lar tablet. It has Direct TV built in so you have a wire­less bat­tery pow­ered TV you can take any place. Using side sync app by Sam­sung you can con­trol your cell phone remote­ly from the View. There is also anapp that lets you use your cell phone as a TV remote con­trol. haha! Did not know that did you?
HDMI out­put is pos­si­ble using a micro USB to HDMI adapter but sor­ry no HDMI input but you can stream to the View over Wifi!
Sec­ond, the View has so many oth­er secret func­tions that it’s almost scary. I have mine hooked to an exter­nal Sam­sung DVD dri­ve so I can watch DVD’s and I also have it con­nect­ed to an exter­nal hard dri­ve using an OTG adapter. The extra screen real estate comes in very handy when using the split screen or mul­ti-win­dow func­tions. Yes, the View has split screen, and mul­ti-win­dow mul­ti-task­ing sup­port much like a PC, allow­ing you to open up to 4 apps at the same time and the device can also con­nect to blue­tooth and wired key­boards, mice, print­ers and game con­trollers. There is even drag and drop shar­ing between apps that sup­port it! Match that Apple! Not to men­tion 128 GB sd card sup­port along with the built in 64 GB mem­o­ry built in and you can even con­nect a cam­era, Iphone, Ipad or oth­er phone to it in cam­era mode and share or down­load and import picts. I have an Ipad Pro too and I am telling you the Galaxy View smokes the Ipad Pro in the func­tion­al­i­ty and con­nec­tiv­i­ty dept. Also using the includ­ed video app you can play videos in a resize-able pop up win­dow and open 4 oth­er apps at the same time. Not to men­tion you can search your picts by name, date or loca­tion. Sor­ry Apple Ipad! Although the Ipad Pro has a more pow­er­ful proces­sor, the crip­pled con­nec­tiv­i­ty, lack of a sd card slot and crip­pled soft­ware gimps the Ipad Pro when placed against the Galaxy View, So if you want a large screen tablet that gives you more pro­duc­tiv­i­ty, more screen real estate and big sound, try the Galaxy View. AT&T had a pro­mo­tion that priced the View at around 100.00 if you sign on for a 1 year data plan. So match that Apple Ipad Pro! Yeah, I thought so! It ain’t gonna hap­pen! I also got inven­tive and drilled 2 small holes in my kick­stand and attached a shoul­der strap to car­ry it hands free over my shoul­der. I only wish I could find a sil­i­cone case for the View. I did some tin­ker­ing to the kick­stand too and mount­ed it to a tri­pod with wheels to use it as a pre­sen­ta­tion device. That is one of the advan­tages of the kick­stand, you can mod­i­fy the kick­stand with­out dam­ag­ing the tablet itself. So get one, try it and be bold and exper­i­ment! It’s like a trans­former, “It’s more than meets the eye!”

Leno­vo Hori­zon is larg­er, 21 or 27 inch screen, i dont remem­ber the size… but the tablet is big­ger. (To me its its a tablet, since it only comes with the tablet sec­tion. STFU its not a pc)
