Why our brains love music with bass

The beat drops and people start nodding their heads. It’s a common behavior, so it’s easy to disregard. But the reasons why humans respond to a killer beat aren’t necessarily obvious.

I honestly came here to try and find out why people love dubstep so much. I seriously don’t understand why these low-pitched noises accompanied by high-pitched screeches are pleasing to my ears. They sound so… beautiful. Why? I mean, it’s literally just DADADDADADDA WAH WAHHAHAH DADADAADAD UUUUUUUUU EEEEEEEEEE CENTIPEDE AHHAHAHA DADDADADDA YAYAAY VRRRRR RAH VRRR RAH.
Someone please answer this, I really want to know why.
I love dubstep so much excisions music ahhh the bass makes my brain melt
kudos to the editor.
it was a bit too much for my personal taste but the talent was there. i applaude it
Bass and subsonic frequencies are something each of us have responded to since 9 months before our birth. It is literally innate in our understanding. Audiophiles are the grownups of the music world. And any audio engineer will tell you, 90% of all auditory information we receive and compute, is categorized as “midrange”. Bass is overrated.
Some things arent always scientifically explainable , and that’s nice tbh . No need to limit our experience to any dull conclusions , JUST ENJOY THE DAMN MUSIC
so you mean I ain’t human?
why you gotta choose such cheesy music
i couldn’t focus on the actual information lmao
It comes from the heartbeat and goes back to the heartbeat.
i love treble not bass
So that’s why i love D U B S T E P :>
I seriously can’t get enough of bass… the day my children complain on the house shaking is the day I’ve reached my prime stage in life
The GE90 MAKES SOME BBBAAAAASSSSSSSSSS
Not as much bass as I was expecting
so I’m the only person that dosen’t like bass?
I dont like bass that much, just give me headphones with good high notes, PLEASE!!!! T‑T
Wrost video
Am I the only one who absolutely loves how the bass or low sound in any song or instrument? The less, the better.
This is why I hear dubstep
Is it only me, or does anyone else gets goosebumps everytime a singer hits a high note??
I hate Bass boosted music
you mean doctor Yanny Trainor
Me watching the intro through my phone with busted speakers: 👁👄👁
The first 20 seconds gave me a massive headache. Thanks Verge.
Imagine mastering this and making people follow your music because its so pleasant but the lyrics in the music isn’t a good message but it still stays there because your mind records everything. Therefore a seed being planted to then normalize it in the sooner or later future.
I prefer treble way more
I hate bass with all my heart. My husband use to listen music with high bass. It changes my mood completely. I cannot even remain indoors while he is in his bass trance. That’s why I’m watching this video, trying to understand why he loves it.
WTF is bass.
guys listen to kuzushi abyusif it’s without bass and its the best rap song in egypt
Why not use a real bass guitar to explaining it works? This vid was a waste of my time!!!
And I like videos without two 15 second unskippanle ads all the time.
So now what’s Bass?
I love love LOVE bass! I greatly appreciate all elements of music, especially gorgeous melodies and harmony, and it’s the combination of everything together that makes music so beautiful, BUT, the bass moves me like no other. Many bass lines are so good that I tear up. It’s the auditory equivalent of being wrapped in a safe, warm fuzzy blanket.
Mitchmatch ?
Thanks 😊 keep growing up 😇
00:37 When do we get ears
