Expe­di­tion 46–47 Soyuz Com­man­der Yuri Malenchenko of the Russ­ian Fed­er­al Space Agency (Roscos­mos), NASA Flight Engi­neer Tim Kopra and Flight Engi­neer Tim Peake of the Euro­pean Space Agency, and their back­ups, Ana­toly Ivan­ishin of Roscos­mos, Kate Rubins of NASA and Takuya Onishi of the Japan Aero­space Explo­ration Agency par­tic­i­pat­ed in a news con­fer­ence at the Gagarin Cos­mo­naut Train­ing Cen­ter in Star City, Rus­sia Nov. 23. Malenchenko, Kopra and Peake are sched­uled to launch Dec. 15 in the Soyuz TMA-19M space­craft to the Inter­na­tion­al Space Sta­tion for a six-month mission.
