PC needs updating as well as phone. On a shoestring budget with basic computing requirements. Thinking of ditching windows and buying 89pound chromebit and nexus 5x on a 24mnth contract. Or I can increase storage on my s4 mini with microsd card and get a sim only contract. But s4 can’t get marshmallow update. Does this matter? Get the feeling a plethora of improved chrome devices are about to be released to tie in with Google’s planned merger of chrome and android. Should I wait to see whats round the corner or upgrade now? Is there a better 5x about to be released?
If playing podcasts, GPS navigation and running a camera app are too much for an Android phone with 2GB of RAM, then there’s something wrong with Android.

Since android 7.0 my fingerprint scanner stopped working and recently I’ve been getting idle battery drain without anything turned on. The device has no damage whatsoever. Is anyone else having these issues with their 5X? Also what can I do?

I love the design of the A5 (2016) but I really like the specs of Nexus 5X, what I should to do? Which of this will give me a better experience?
What exactly are power user features on a cell phone? I’m a pretty technology savvy guy; I have a networking degree, a networking job, I’ve built my own desktop, and I’ve installed and used Gentoo, but i still can’t for the life of me think of what I would do on my phone aside from basic stuff like web browsing, GPS, and texting. I guess I could install a terminal emulator and SSH into my computer, that’s powerusery, but you could run a terminal emulator on a cabbage.

I was going for the 6P, but most of the Fry’s stores that had it in stock were pretty far, so I went ahead and bought the 5X instead (AU Model, I live in the US :c). Upon opening the (slightly tattered box) and booting the fone up after installing my sim in the car, I was greeted with an update to 7.0, which I tried to do, but later went home to finish up under wifi. So far, it’s great as a daily driver, but since checking out the 5X subreddit, I’m kind of sketchy about the 7.0/.1 update sending my new phone into a bootloop, which could happen anytime without much of a warning.

I own a Nexus 5X updated to 7.1.1 and I have to say is the best phone I’ve ever had.

What about bootloop?
Typing this comment feom a nexus 5x. This phone has got the best screen size for me. It’s wider than an iPhone 6 but not as large as a 6‑inch phone.
