Read the full details:
One of the key CPU core designs for 2016 is the Cortex-A72 which can be found in the Kirin 950. The question is, how well does it perform?

not that fair. the 810 is not in the same generation as the newly launched Kirin 950. do 820 vs kirin 950 and we’ll talk
apart from this, this video looks sponsored by huawei.
I agree making videos is not easy especially if you don’t have a prompter to read off. But I am really impressed with the Huawei Mate 8 but I expected the Kirin 950 to perform much better than it did against the other SOCs.
Well, this’s very informative comparison. Thank you for your hard work.
why u r so smart gary
i m jealous 😝
btw this video is awesome
Nice, kudos on those in-house tests, you should maybe do a more detailed 3D enviroment with more effects to stress the GPU‘s a bit more on the Unity engine.
Since you are familliar with the tech side of things, you should have known that the Adreno 430 is always going to win agains the 4core Mali 880, but it should still be sufficient for all the games that will come out during this year at 1080p.
Once SD820 rolls out wit the 530 and Exynost 8890 with the huge 12 Core Mali 880, we will see the Kirin 950 aboslutely destroyed by these new chips.
I have hit 92k in Antutu with my Oneplus Two and a custom kernel no overclocking just changed the hotplugging.
Great video man!
Compare the Kirin 950 with the SD 820 😀
Awesome video.
I wish you added added the latest Iphone to the comparison… I wanted to see the difference.. may be in a future video
scores don’t matter, what matters is that phone should run smooth and play all games smoothly .instead of going for higher scores companies should make innovative phones which give totally different experience, which is lacking .
Really good video Gary, good knowledge that can aid in my decision when looking for a new phone as I am a power user . Also it gives me a bit of tech talk to dazzle my friends with as we are phone fanatics .
First, this is very informative. Also, can you do a video about the consistency of performance in regards to their heat? I think this would be interesting because of the cpu/gpu throttling when it reaches certain temperature, so I think a video of how heat impacts their performance would be nice.
why didn’t he test a phone with Quad HD and the 810 chip, those fps scores are pointless because no one has a 720p phone anymore
Its unfortunate that android based cpu manufacturers are behind by a couple generations compared to apple SoCs. Nothing close to the Apple A9 chipset yet.
i luv this!!
Can we get your Benchmarks ??
Thumbs up for custom benchmarks! Really good stuff.
Again thanks for the very informative videos.
Please keep this video up!
When I say the name of the video, I knew it was you.
it is only using a Mali t880 mp2. bad decision by them. in raw performance it isn’t graphically better than the best smartphones of last year.
Guys, i want buy Huawei mate 8, cause i love large screen phones and this 6 inch is awesome… But i can play all 3D high android games in next 2 years with this phone ??? Please help. 🙂
Music from 1:06 please
arm chips are shit in real world use
haviouly the screen is the bottle neck for note 5
91 thousand is the highest score you ever seen in 2016? Huh this guy must not get around much since all 2016 flagships score 130–150 thousand.
benchamarking the graphics of mali t880 gpu indicates a lower result because it’s actually weaker than other flagship smartphone gpus like adreno 530.
can the mali-t880 can run big games like NBA 2k17?
Do comparison between Snapdragon 820 vs Kirin 950 and Adreno 530 vs Mali-T880 MP4… Need to know which one to pick from ZTE Axon 7 and Huawei Honor 8 for intensive games
Thanks for wonderful review, any idea why MediaPad M3 which got same h/w as Mate 8 got issues in games like Asphalt 8 and got FPS drops and lag? Think Huawei could fix it?
Also lag/freezes while scrolling chrome browser/googleplay and google plus.
Would appreciate your thoughts about how soon Huawei could optimize the software to fix those issues?
Thanks a lot!
Which is better mali t880mp4 or adreno 506
