4:37 Sounds like Resident Evil 1–3. Controls were weird, but you get used to having the up arrow always mean “forward” even when the camera angles change. Chronos sounds cool.
Wikipedia about the Rift’s Xbox controller: “this will allow all users to play those games without needing to purchase third party hardware.”
LOL. As if the cost of this hardware isn’t included in the main price of the Oculus itself. And all who already own an Xbox controller (or more) are actually forced to pay for one unnecessary extra controller.
I always wanted oculus rift until i actually tried it.
Its like playing old 320x240 game but with huge distance between pixels.
Until there will be no screen door effect it will be just a demo toy.

this is a horrible review, unwatchable.. Whats up with the lighting too? purple and green.. If your going to show us the rift why use purple and green dark lights?
The oculus is a worse VR headset than the HTC Vive, from on of the worst tech companies, Facebook. If you buy one keep in mind that they will do shady stuff like track what you look at and sell it to advertisers, which is not “conspiracy theory” as they said it themselves. Oculus looked promising, but sadly Facebook bought it and used it as a platform to extort it’s users.
There’ll be a LOT more mad people in the world soon, thanks Oculus!

Is it good with the surface book?
we still have a long ways to go on the tech quality It might be mind blowing in about 20 years. but the tech has to be better than a screen on your face and a couple of motion sensors. if you don’t believe me just look back at the amount of time it took to go from 8 bit space games to the crazy real looking shooters and rpgs we have in 2016. Some day we will be able to just plug a wire into the back of our heads and download our minds straight to a digital world to make in to any way you want
I am so confused between this and DK2. I have noticed that you can only purchase and buy apps with this one while DK2 can try all the games that other developers developed. Or can you actually do that with this one?

The only thing that is truly mind blowing are the people who say that this technology is garbage or a fad. Like all of us, I’ve literally had dreams of becoming my favorite heroes, and with these devices it’s magic. Finally a dream come true. All three headsets out now are outstanding, and I support them all, for a first generation device, there is no other time in existence I’d rather be born… but then again if I change my mind, I’m sure there will have a VR experience for that 😘

These games suck.
That’s not the biggest problem I have with oculus. It’s their vague security and privacy regulations that do. I have a Gear VR and was going to download Minecraft. It asked me for contacts access, find contacts on this device and read contacts.
As well as phone use, phone status and identity. Read context on SD card. Modify or delete SD contacts and of course network access. Some of this I’m okay with.
Network access is kind of a given. But why they hell does it need access to my contacts list? Or phone status and identity as that seems completely unnecessary and intrusive.
The only thing any game should ever need access to is network and storage. Some apps I can understand of having some other access depending on their use. But seriously let people choose what access they want to give or not. 🙁
Does anyone know if there is a way to load a custom made app for the Galaxy 6/Gear VR helmet into the Rift?
And then they call us misogynist when we try to ban women from reviewing technology. Atleast hire a female who knows the difference from her ass or her elbow when reviewing these kind of technologies you idiots.
