Playing ping pong with a robot
robot,ping pong,kickstarter,the verge,technology
TrainerBot is a new robot that shoots ping pong balls. It can aim for anywhere on the table, with any kind of spin. Verge editor Paul Miller got a chance to play ping pong with the robot, and we think he did a great job of hitting the ping pong balls. TrainerBot is on Kickstarter now, with a starting price of $329.

Paul gives me a Henry’s kitchen vibe. I dig it.
Now make one for badminton.

This is not new at all. Newgy and Killerspin have been making these for years
id be more impressed if it returned your shot
The hell? These things have existed forever.
It’s table tennis and this is usually for serious training there are robots usually going around 1000 dollars which are great

He said that maybe is already good he does not need the trainer bot Lmao you cant even hold the paddle right Lmao
Hack a roomba vacuum bot to go around picking up the balls xD
How about pitting the robot against a human that can actually play ping pong? Form, follow through, ecch.
when and who can i buy it ? xd I WANNA HAVE 😀
First learn how to stand, hold your bat etc before you attempt to play against spin from a robot.
Watching him miss every shot is so frustrating.
You absolutely suck at table tennis 🏓
Funny but informative
Useless for the price. Might as well get a ipong or go for the Newgy robots.
You have no idea wath is ping pong and how to play.
The way that he only does backhands horrifies me.
