DJI’s handheld smartphone stabilizer is a vlogger’s dream

The new DJI Osmo Mobile is a handheld video stabilizer that doesn’t have a built-in camera — you just clip your phone in place instead. The 3‑axis gimbal flips between portrait, landscape, and an underslung mode that’s perfect for getting shots that seem to scrape the floor.

The regular Osmo uses the Inspire1 camera, not the Phantom 4, this Osmo retails for $299 USD, and the ActiveTrack only works with iPhones.
Cool!
great device
Man, DJI is the only chinese company that actually innovates.…great stuff!
The camera that was connected to the osmo is the camera in the inspire drone and not the camera of the phantom 4
there is a big difference in 200 bucks and actual price of 300 bucks, next time when you review something tell the price right.
does the gimbal rotates 360?
$300
Is this exclusively for iPhone only?
how about the external mic support?
… And my dream is to get 10 subs by the end of this week :/ l
love this device😍
The osmo doesn’t have camera from the phantom 4 its from the inspire 1. 0:25
Comon man if you do not know stuff related to dji and stuff do not make a video about it.
Will this also work if I just use the gimbal system and put my GoPro? I don’t want to buy anoth gimbal just for my GoPro
Is it waterproof?
Audio mic port is covered no external mic ports on the osmo or on the phone. Audio is going to suck!
does it work in samsung galaxy s7 edge
So its 200 or 290 because amazon shows 290$
is it extendable? i mean the length?
What if I don’t want to use their recording software does this thing still work like other stabilizers?
Could you or anyone try using an add-on wide angle lens with this Stabilizer? I have a “Moment” Wide angle Lens on my iPhone 6s. https://momentlens.co/?p=120849. I also have a Feiyu G4 Plus Gimbal (http://bhpho.to/2cqoDlP) but it has issues with the weight of the lens. Any feedback? Thank You! Jim
Does NOT work with iOS 10, they do NOT know when a update will happen. I suggest NOT buying the Osmo Mobile.
what are you doing in China? The place looks amazing, your apartment complex?
If you live in New Zealand it will cost you $559 NZD
Beautiful
That is amazingly impressive
I assume the sound quality is no improvement from the original Osmo. The annoying motor sound was unbearably too loud on the Osmo. I tested Fleximic and it sucked. Sucked as in toy quality. VideoMicro worked best, but it’s a pain in the ass to attach on the Osmo. My answer would be to attach a VideoMicro sized microphone on top of the lens. Probably smaller than the VideoMicro considering the fov on these lenses. I can bear lo-res videos, but anything with crappy audio I can’t.
STILL cannot pair my iPhone with the OSMO Mobile. I spoke with DJI Factory service again and they CONFIRM that OSMO Mobile uses Bluetooth 4.0 on the OSMO Mobile and that they are having problems with the iPhone 7 which uses Bluetooth 4.2 ‑BUYER BEWARE — plus, DJI has a incrediable tight 7 day window for refunds so, again BUYER BEWARE.
Shrug level southeast resume beer breakfast.
—————BUYER BEWARE!!!! Okay ‑Just got my iPhone 7 and tried to hook up to my OSMO Mobile ‑DOES NOT WORK WITH IPHONE 7 EITHER!!!! —————BUYER BEWARE!!!! It just crashes the App
DJI has said they WILL NOT REFUND my money. Though 99% of American companies have a 30 day refund policy ‑Chinese company DJI is 7 Days JUST 7 DAYS! BUYER BEWARE!!! I have spent many hours trying to resolve this issue with them without success. Good luck if you have any problems with your unit.
Pricey as hell but amazing at the same time
Would you see the gimbal in the frame if you used a wide angle lens kit?
+The Verge You mentioned the price at $200 when DJI is selling at $299. Can you verify that? I’d like one for Free!
The camera on the original Osmo was on the inspire one not the phantom 4
HELP! To take a SnapChat or instagram story video is there a way to use the osmo shutter or video buttons to control the video ? Right now I have to keep my finger on the phone to hold the video button down which messes with the stabilization.
hey great video here! I have a problem with my osmo mobile when using iphone 5s. It is said that the iphone 5s is compatible with it, but the active tracking does’ work on it no matter how i try with my phone. Any idea why this is?
Does it work well with android?
cool inwention
sound? can you reverse it so you can add a lav mic?
Take my money!
Can I use it for Snapchat? If yes how?
Which is better, the DJI Osmo Mobile or Flow Motion One? please help me.
