Philips is throwing everything it’s got at its new 55-inch 901F TV. Not only is the 901F the company’s first OLED set, but it also comes with 4K resolution, high dynamic range imaging (HDR), a built-in sound bar, Android TV, and Philips’ Ambilight ambient lighting system. The results are beautiful.

cool
I actually love ambilight because it makes the TV blend in with its surroundings more naturally and looking at it becomes less of a strain somehow. I cannot imagine buying one without it anymore to be honest. Weird but for some reason I just love it!
What’s that light at 0:05 :0
did Philips just buy the oled panel from LG or did the develop it and manufacture it themselves?, I hope they made it themselves, if they just bought the panel from LG then that TV’s an extremely overpriced gimmick with it’s does nothing at all to improve picture quality distracting ambilight feature, sucks LG’s got no real competition, find it hard to believe philips could undercut, match or even sell for a lil over LG’s lowest priced 2016 55″ B6P oled 2499$ USD which is still real expensive for a oled TV and unattainable at that price for the vast majority of people including myself, where you at philips and panasonic with your were releasing mainstream oled tv’s claims yet seems any you see are just at these trade shows or are limited production 10’000$ plus novelty item TV’s only available through the manufacturer
Are they still only available in Europe tho? You can’t buy the ambilight TVs in North America
Ambient light does nothing… Unless you havin’ a party then hell JEAH!!!
Nice TP Vision TV. All those, who praise Philips, read some articles and you will learn, that this TV is not Philips.
I want one!
at IFA… so I will be able to check it out tomorrow when I’m there
Ambilight is worth every cent, if you once go ambiligjt you cant go back. if you watch a movie, and in the middle of it, you suddenly turn off the ambilight sth. very important is missing, i got a philips tv from 2008 ambilight still works, and the tv as well, my halfsisters samsung tvs broke like 5 times in the mean time.
Actually this is the tv i want
so tv gets thinner higher def bla bla but there’s no way to get anymore gimmicks to sell and so they put more RGB lighting to the back. just like every other thing now. #innovation.
#loveit
This will be My next Phone. Love it. Better than the iPhone 3G
The oled painel is from philips itself?
The ambilight making it more beautiful, but for me it’s only for a better look
So voice control and motion gestures are a thing of the past?
Thank God they aren’t curved. Will they give LG a run for their money though?
This is beautiful …
Cool tv, but I want to know the specs too.
best thing i pick phillips 3 years ago, ambilight really make movie watching in a different level.
Test
I liked the tube tvs with the glossy screen and the rounded front
Ambilight is worse than mandatory 3D
I mean like… Why did I just watch a guy get out of bed in the intro?
Philips TV have a billigt since years
Vlad, where are you? I get confused, thought there where only 2 people covering Europe (Vlad and Ricker)…
can i mount this under the car if mom says its ok?
I hope it costs under 1500$ instead beyond 3000$ like LG
i’m curious to see what the input lag/pixel response time is going to be.
THEY SHOULD SELL THE AMBILIGHT SYSTEM APART!
A more immersive experience and a higher electric bill.
Many people here just talking about Ambilight — for me real draw to this this is THE GORGEOUS DESIGN!
Fourth Quarter NEXT year? What a joke…
couldn’t you compare it to the lg oled tvs ??? ‑_-
In my opinion back lighting makes a huge difference
