#Google #Search #Results #Fight #ISIS #Protection #Censorship
Interesting topic. But, they can do whatever they want with their product. I guess using a different search engine would be a temporary solution. Very scary, indeed.
I think it’s time to leave the fanboyism and be logical! internet is a shitty place!
I agree to your general message. BUT isis is the worst of the worst! Hamas as well! They both disrespect anybody that is not exactly what they are! They don’t understand logic but only power! Women are treated as property by them!
Voting rights? Freedom of speech? Minorities? Technology? Entertainment?
They oppose everything we stand for!
They have no mercy so blocking them is fine by me
If I could ask for one thing it would be. ” no more war no more bloodshed ” Menachem Begin Israel Prime Minister and Anwar Sadat Egyptian President
great video!
“you shouldn’t like it”“you should be upset about it” “think for yourself” the first two quotes contradict the last one
i like Honor 8
When your 17 year old son starts talking about wanting to go to the Middle East to help ISIS. You’ll wish Google wouldn’t leave results that help recruit people into terrorism.
holy crap
should I use now Yahoo! ?
I have to disagree, google isn’t the only search engine.
I agree with much of what you say, but if I want to watch commentary, I’ll go watch radical PROPAGANDIST at MSNBC. I can change or block the channel.…just like I’m doing here. I suggest you quit using Google’s free software technology and chill.
You seem very astonished by this but wasn’t this obvious that if you have majority of market share you will do something like a dictator and impose ideas on people?
Oh well I guess deep web might help.
I come from the middle east and I can confirm there is way more dumbfucks there
I disagree with this video. Google has never given us a reason to distrust them so why would they start becoming malicious now? They are a bussiness, not a government. It impacts them negatively to lie and cause mistrust. To my knowledge they have been quite transparent on most everything and that’s part of their philosophy (unless it impacts the user negatively). This is only a step up this example: blocking content to people addicted to pornography but allowing them to educate the user on the matter. ISIS propaganda sites is bias towards them and Anti-ISIS sites educate bias towards Anti-ISIS. Google is being a knowledge resource for information on Anti-ISIS material rather than providing material on ISIS. Its almost a morals item that Google is doing this. Google is willingly telling you what type of content they are applying this filter on, being 100% transparent. A capitalistic government allows for competition so even if Google were to abuse this we can simply switch away from them.
I definitely support what google is doing with the ISIS thing. I’d rather have a search engine company manipulate the thoughts of young impressionable minds than live in a world of terror and destruction. Besides, people really do need guidance if they are turning to ISIS for help.
‘it’s a slippery slope’
You’re not supposed to admit a logical fallacy.
Could they try to engineer a smarter society so they don’t have to be bothered by the stormfronts and neonazis of the world and internet? Probably. Do they want to invest that much effort into it? I doubt it.
Honestly, try to picture it, try to create any sort of effort of trying to change the minds of people that believe in conspiracy theories or religions. Why the hell do you think religions are still so pervasive today when we have every bit of information about humanity at our fingertips? There are still flat earthers and shit walking among you, can you really change their mind without wanting to shoot yourself first for the seemingly pointless exercise?
I imagine the reason why they do it for ISIS specifically is that they are a tangible threat, and we’ve seen self-radicalized people pledge allegiance to them before striking wherever they happen to be. The closest we’ve seen of other groups are perhaps the Charleston shooter and sovereign citizens, try to imagine fixing that mentality, someone who admitted when he walked into a black church he almost decided not to kill everyone there because they showed him so much friendliness or love, but he still shot them because of his racist mindset. Do you think any algorithm anyone could come up with for Google could fix that kind of delusion?
Your perspective is not heard very often. Most Americans don’t think outside of our borders. People who have lived abroad or travel often know what others don’t.
“They’re just trying to stop ISIS”. The problem is that they won’t stop there. They will try to stop anything they see as threatening ideology.
Skynet is on the move…
for the people saying “just use bing”.. is not about the people seeing this video, from now on fully aware of this, it’s about the hundreds of millions that won’t have the slightest idea their opinions are being crafted by a company, with possibly some good and others not-so-innocent interests.
That is some really appreciable good work..protection I would say..Go for it google
Sorry, I don’t agree to your views. What google is doing in this topic is perfectly correct and humane and I strongly support it. I used to get scared when google reads my mail and display suggestion based on it. But as long as I have no criminal intentions, I don’t need to be worried, right!
The internet must be neutral to every political view no matter how radical it may seem ! This is terrible news, it’s the start of thought police like north Korea or China!!
before my Note 7 explodes, my last words are.…ALLAH AKUBAR!!!!
He said those magic ISIS Domestic Terrorist where no illshoulw w3
Any simple Legal ..
Hillary, O ba me. kerry politics breed strangest of all bed fellas.
isis is funded by usa and israel!!!
I feel what protects us might even kill us someday , its like giving a robot the feelings of a human you know what i mean but having said that there should be a stringent check on this
“For the greater good”
I totally agree, this video is not about ISIS or supporting ISIS, it’s about freedom; freedom of thinking and deciding by ourselves what is wrong or right, not someone or something telling us what’s good or bad. Though this is shocking news, it’s not new, it’s what Google does all the time, you always get specific results based on your preferences, search history, location, all the info you’ve already (willingly) given to Google, etc., so you get tailored search results. There’s a TED Talk that talks about it (I’ll try to look for it an come and paste the link).
It’s conspiracy theories becoming real, science fiction becoming real; it’s Orwell’s Big Brother making itself present.
Now ISIS will use duckduckgo
Im glad a tech page has approached this problem. There is alot of different conspiracies on the web but the N.W.O is real and by spying on us and manipulating our information is one of the first steps into controlling everyone and everything.
Google has already been redirecting people’s search queries for Hillary and Trump, censoring topical Hillary mishaps and only providing good ones. Its on SourceFed’s The Loop.
…1984…
Just watched your pixel sailfish video and got redirected here, so here my comment goes.
At no point in video you condemned ISIS, just Google. Though I understand this moral policing might just not be limited to ISIS and might leak to other topics such as elections, but you should have condemned ISIS in this video also. Although I believe that it takes another level to fanatic to sympathize with ISIS but you should have told or indicated that you don’t sympathize with ISIS clearly in the video.
to a greater extent you are right … this topic is endless terrorism and patriotism but we need to go back a few decades to understand what and who forced ISIS to take birth… there is a simple concept if some one comes and attacks your house and tries to take over it what will you do..? just reverse the situation with the middle east and the rest of the world it might shed some light on the issue… and this comment is not open for debate for other users but is directed to the guy in the video … sir dont know you be understand a loot of thing u said so just want you to think about what i stated and if possible respond for a further conversation that is if you serious bout the whole stuff… we need ppl who recognize and work on the actual problems rather than bee propaganda speakers for some for the greater good of us all..or else theirs just one end to all this n thats annihilation. we will end up fighting each other to death for just a few ppl in power who just dont care for us common folks.
wow…
They cut off people’s heads, who agrees with their message?
DON“T FEED THE TROLL
ya know i atleast google is trying to help and besides if you dont like it, who owns the website and search engine? GOOGLE not you, if you don’t like what googles trying to do no ones forcing you, use bing or yahoo
N people are after windows 10 for collecting basic data on crashes from apps. The amount of interference from google is unholy and a complete invasion of user privacy
If anything, Google’s undeniable and blatant censorship is in full support of ISIS.
Tinfoil hats!
nothing is true
this is nothing different than China’s great firewall
isis I ghought they owned google
Business Opportunity in Ruvol
I have invented a Board Game [still unpublished and not yet out in the market] that I believe is guaranteed to be as challenging and exciting as CHESS. I called it “RUVOL.”
It is my hope that one day Ruvol may surpass chess as the “Number One Board Game in the World.”
The weakness of chess is it always starts in fixed positions that the opening moves become “memorizable.” In fact, not a few have so mastered the moves that they can play against their opponents “blindfolded.” It is for this very reason that the great Bobby Fischer introduced his so-called “Fischer Random Chess,” where the starting position of the pieces is “randomized” to make the memorization of openings impracticable. Fortunately, it is also for this reason that I invented Ruvol where “every game” has been calculated to be a challenging one to play.
HOW IS RUVOL PLAYED and HOW YOU CAN MONETIZE IT?
I detailed everything in my YouTube video. Here is the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jcqth0m3-R0
BIG MONEY POTENTIAL IN RUVOL!
It is worthwhile to note that the people who play chess will be the same people who will play Ruvol. In my Google search, I learned there are around 800 million chess players in the world. Even just a small percentage of these 800 million is good enough to earn big money from Ruvol either as an ONLINE GAME BUSINESS or as a PHYSICAL PRODUCT DISTRIBUTOR.

Censorship. See how easy it was to answer that one?
