Not buying stuff in a capitalist world? I’d like to see that.
Well the whole idea is interesting and innovating , but lets think of a hypothetical crisis like an earthquake in a major city , with the huge amount of destruction the hardest part would be to share resources and deliver them to the people so the system may need a triage to help the ones need it the most but even with that… i guess this video actually open the discussion one step further great job.
Verge on the future of video editing
we can do better
Woooo it Like this guy. Sounds like a grate elution-est
Nah I don’t think drones will be the next step, not for something as profane as a hammer. Also who wants to wait 15 minutes just to put a nail into the wall?
Too short.
Wow!!! This video has captivated my mind.
I wish YouTube had audio only feature
A bit grandiose.
this is how “communism” working in economy. Not talking about political stuff.
access > ownership
Who here has already heard about the “concept” by seeing “Zeitgeist Moving Forward” or “Zeitgeist Addendum”? 😉 (about RBE — Resource Based Economy).
I feel like I should go buy a hammer after watching this
The quality of this video is superb! Thank you – via @haystacktv
Sadly, this will never, ever happen with the President Elect of the U.S. being Donald Trump
hence instant apps on Nougat
soon everything we own we wont really own.
And what if we were to apply this general principle to our cities? We might end up with something that looks a lot like the specifications presented by The Auravana Project.
So communism…but with drones?
No thanks. I’ll keep my hammer.
Cool video🤘🏼😎 I love the new style of videos👌🏼😍
I love the animations, but this was on the verge (pun not intended) of being over over animated
I’m just here to agree the production value is beyond FLAMES. Dope stuff Verge Editing Squad. Great topic as well.
Amazing video/animations and idea!! I felt my mind being expanded, thanks 🙂
That’s like the coolest name ever
What if two people need the hammer on the same day? I know that this is an over simplification. But what happens when the supply can’t support the demand? Do you make more hammers? (draining our limited resources) Or would we have to wait until the first person is finished with their project? (waiting list) It may not be as magical as suggested.
How did I know from the first 10 seconds of the video (not even exaggerating) that you went to Stanford? Love the innovative thinking!
AMAZING AMAZING VIDEO! Incredibly interesting!
Please continue making videos like this… 🙂
This video is the same logic I thought the American people would have in not electing a President that wants to go backwards in so many things we have moved forward in. We have made such progress towards tolerance and deleting the racial and cultural divides I only hope we don’t let let this slip.
isn’t this basically communism?
Amazing video. And honestly: I absolutely love this idea, because it would allow us to not own so much stuff. Especially in cities, where space is limited. Probably not for stuff, that doesn’t cost much — like a hammer. But HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, these kind of items, that cost 800 US-Dollar in retail for rent would be amazing.
The only concern would be maintaining a perfect condition for the next client.
sharing is caring 😀
So basically communism?
Best effects that i have ever seen.
Don’t Hesitate Be Great.
3D print the hammer, when finished, throw it into a deassimilater, make it into something else when you need that. Press a button when you start and another when finished.
Woah.. Those graphics and animations..Awesome ♥
I bet republicans who watch this say “stupid libtard communist that sounds like communism to me”
This is my hammer, there are many like it but one is mine, without me this hammer is useless, without my hammer, I am useless!
