On Novem­ber 11, the Kennedy Space Cen­ter Vis­i­tor Com­plex held the grand open­ing of its Heroes & Leg­ends attrac­tion. The inter­ac­tive exhib­it not only brings to life the enthralling sto­ries of America’s pio­neer­ing astro­nauts, but also enables vis­i­tors to vic­ar­i­ous­ly expe­ri­ence the thrills and dan­gers of America’s ear­li­est mis­sions through engag­ing sto­ry­telling and high-tech spe­cial effects. Heroes & Leg­ends, locat­ed just inside the entrance to the vis­i­tor com­plex fea­tur­ing the U.S. Astro­naut Hall of Fame, pre­sent­ed by Boe­ing, intro­duces vis­i­tors to heroes of the Amer­i­can space pro­gram through a 360-degree visu­al pre­sen­ta­tion, a 4‑D mul­ti­sen­so­ry the­ater expe­ri­ence, and oth­er inter­ac­tive fea­tures includ­ing holo­grams and astro­naut memorabilia.
